Planteray Jamaica (Ferrand Dry Curaçao Cask) 2019
If you like your Jamaica quiet and oak-led rather than a funk bomb, this single cask fits. Members mostly find wood front and center — dry, warm, very light on sweetness — with citrus, a little nut and a touch of tropical fruit underneath. The Dry Curaçao finish reads as a faint orange-peel bitterness more than sugar. Rounded and easy at 46.9%.

Dry, oak-led Jamaican with a citrus edge Well-liked as a restrained, wood-forward Jamaican, though a few call it almost too polite — the oak dominates and the cask's orange character stays subtle.

Here we have a very nice planteray. For me, the nose is actually all wood. On the palate we also have a lot of wood, and I can also recognize some nut and some fruit. Nice rum.

Unfortunately no distillery is known. Goes in the direction of Worthy Park, perhaps also Clarendon. Slight bitter notes, some tropical fruit. The question is what came out of the curacao barrel.

On rocks: nose is citrus and oak taste - warm, rounded and very light on sweetness. Heavy on peat and oak
