Rum Exchange Travellers #003 2009
Most tasters land in the same place: a sweet, easy Belize column rum that punches above its region — one member crowned it winner in a Belize blind tasting. Expect vanilla, caramel and brown sugar up front, with cocoa, coffee and a warm cinnamon finish. The main gripe is the heat: at 60.8% a couple found it "etwas zu alkoholisch," and the sweetness runs high.

How does Rum Exchange Travellers #003 2009 taste?
Aggregated from 22 community reviews.
Sweet, vanilla-heavy Belize sipper at cask strength Widely liked as one of the better Belize rums — sweet, rounded, vanilla-and-caramel forward. A few found it too sweet and a touch hot, but nobody dumped it.

It’s a Traditional Single Cask Rum from Travellers bottled by Rum Exchange. It’s distilled 2009 and bottled in just 252 bottles in 2019. It’s the best rum I’ve tasted from Belize so far. Aromas and flavors is spicy, woody and sweet.

Chuť nepřekvapí, opět sladkost, karamel trochu sudu, perníčků a cukrárny. Pěkně integrovaný alkohol, moc příjemné.

Vůně klasický Travellers vanilka, sušené ovoce, kakao, karamel, káva a skořice. Malé mínus, že mi to přijde alkoholické. Chuťově v podobném duchu. Velmi pitelné, příjemná kombinace karamelu, kávy a kakaa. Hřejivý skořicový závěr.

Read full review →This is very good. Very interesting. It reminds me of both English Harbour and Mount Gay rums in equal measure. Not bad company to be keeping. Rum Exchange Belize 2009 is a particularly good example of a column distilled rum. None of those nasty additives either.
