Foursquare Private Cask Selection (V&B) 2012
Here's the twist: this 12-year Foursquare leans tart, not just sweet. Alongside the usual vanilla, coconut and caramel, several tasters flag a "sour red berries" and pepper note that some found a bit off-profile. At 48% it reads slightly thin on the palate with a short finish, but it's oily, well-rounded and dry-ish. A good everyday Barbados sipper rather than a big event bottle.

Oily, sweet Foursquare with a tart berry edge Well-liked but not a peak Foursquare. Most find it oily, sweet and rounded with an unusual tart berry-and-pepper edge; a few call it thin and a touch flat compared to the series.

Not the best of the series but not the worst either. I'd say that the price at release matched the quality. A well rounded, oily and sweet rum with fruit and light wood with sprinkles of caramel and molasses.

--- . This Barbadian rum features a rich and intense aroma with notes of glue, coconut, spices, and subtle alcoholic hints. The taste is bold, oily, and peppery, with undertones of vanilla, coconut, and a touch of sweetness, complemented by spicy flavors.

Such an ordinary FQ, which didn't impress much
