You still get the classic Hampden signature — banana, grilled pineapple, nail polish, funky solvent — over an 8-year Pot Still base at a warm 64.5%. One member noted it opens up nicely with air, gaining roundness and depth after a few days in the bottle.

In the nose clearly <>H. Funky with solvent notes. Grilled pineapple and tropical fruits. Overall more on the roasted side of things than fruity.

Schöner kräftiger funky Hampden mit ein paar Ecken und Kanten. Mein erster 2016 <>H. Gefällt mir ganz gut, aber wie üblich finde ich den Preis von Rest & Be Thankful ein bißchen fragwürdig. Mir wäre es nicht wert da eine Flasche zu kaufen

Tasted at whisky live Paris: quick tasting notes. Nose: a true classic hampden Mouth: some extra spice Finish: warm but not spicy A good time at the stand! On the other hand, I understand that this is 2x the price of a classic Hampden... ouch ouch ouch. Info to be verified.

#4875 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Medium intense, light wood, fresh, light vegetal, light floral, spice, ester, faint peat, fruits, light banana. Palate Warm, fresh, ester, light wood, faint smoke, fruits, light pineapple, light citrus, faint peat, medium spicy. Finish Long and warm, light wood, faint smoke, light peat, fruits, light citrus, faint chocolate. I had expected this to be the best one, but I got a bit disappointed. Not a bad rum at all, but one of my favourite marks from Jamaica.
