Velier Beenleigh Alex Webb Edition (Magnum) 2015
One taster called it "incredible fruity" and it's easy to see why: oranges, apricots, mango and banana lead, with vanilla, butterscotch and a green-apple edge that a couple of people liken to aged rye. Despite the caramel-candy nose it drinks dry, with toasted spice and pepper keeping it sharp. A few members found this Velier Beenleigh a touch flat and less deep than the standard 10-year.
The community says- Very fruity nose
- Dry, not cloying

How does Velier Beenleigh Alex Webb Edition (Magnum) 2015 taste?
Aggregated from 26 community reviews.
Dry, fruit-driven Beenleigh pot still Loved by fruit-forward drinkers for its orange-apricot-mango character over a dry, peppery base. A few feel it lacks the depth of other Beenleighs, but most enjoy it.

A rum tasted at Whisky Live in Paris in 2024. Floral and fruity on the nose, vegetal and lightly mentholated, this is definitely a rum of pleasure here. The palate is almost even better, with all the aromas of the nose plus a touch of marrons glacés. Elegant and balanced. Long finish with all the aromas slowly disappearing. A wonderful discovery, this Beenleigh!

Beenleigh again :) Nose: very fruity! Oranges, bananas, apricots, mangoes, little bit of vanilla, beaking apples, butterscotch, biscuits, bee wax. Mutlifruits cocktail. Very nice. Taste: Strong, but soooo fruity ! Again apricots, apples, mangoes, bananas, candies. Wow, it's like a caramel candy. Fantastic )) Aftertaste: still fruity. Lot of overripe fruits & candies, little bit of vanilla & some light Ester notes. So, it's incredible fruity rum ! Even more, then classic 10yo beenleigh. I like it.

Whisky Live Paris 2024 (trade fair evaluation, only overall rating and personal recommendation to buy): Can't excite me, just like the other three bottlings in the second magnum series. Also rather weak compared to the previous Beenleigh bottlings. I don't have to have a bottle of it.
