Ten Cane doesn't usually get 16 years and cask strength treatment, so the surprise here is how dark and chocolatey it turns — cherry, red fruit, wood and that classic Trinidad mint. Tasters call it well-rounded and oily, though one admits it fell short of high expectations. There's a faint medicinal edge too. Solid aged Trinidad, not a revelation.

#5018 31.12.2024 Relaxing watching TV while waiting for 2025. Nose Medium intense, wood, light roasted, fruits, cherry, light mint, faint chocolate. Palate Oily, round, wood, light roasted, fruits, dried, fruit, light cherry, light chocolate, light mint, faint smoke, faint anise. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, light cherry, light olive, light chocolate, faint salt. Need to rest to upen up properly. The empty glass has faint glue, licorice and faint ginger.
