One taster called the nose "hard to read" — old wood first, then dried figs, raisin, chocolate and a hint of dried apricot, with a dark, roasted, faintly herbal palate. This is a 14-year Savanna traditionnel at full 65%, and the alcohol is remarkably well tucked in for the strength. A drop of water opens it up. Rich and woody rather than fruity or funky.

Encore une très belle sortie de chez Swell. Ce Savanna est une pure merveille Boisé, légèrement toasté, Des arômes, de fruits secs, style figues et Abricots Une pointe de vanille. Un alcool, parfaitement intégré et une très belle longueur

Savanna Fass 699 aus dem Jahr 2022. Sehr angenehmer Melasse Rum von Savanna. Alkohol ist hier wirklich perfekt eingebunden. Wurde hier noch nicht bewertet, ist aber eine tolle Empfehlung wenn man mal die Gelegenheit hat.

Le nez révèle d'abord du vieux bois. On sent que le rhum à qu'elles années de fûts. De jolis tanins qui laissent apparaître une vanille délicate et des notes fruitées. Je dirais de l'abricot. La bouche est intense. Les 65° sont un peu forts pour mon palais. Le bois a fait son office et apporte une forte astringence. On retrouve la pâte réunionnaise avec un savant mélange de notes boisées, chocolatées, de fruits. A re-tester sur la longueur car on est sur un rhum qui a beaucoup de choses à dire. Un goutte d'eau lui confère plus de gourmandise en atténuant la brûlure de l'alcool
