Den Ophyum 12 habe ich bereits einige Jahre zuhause, keine Ahnung wann und warum ich ihn gekauft habe, auf der Flasche steht er sei von 2018. Die Flasche ist ganz nett aber mir gefallen die runden Flaschen besser mit bunten Etikett, so in Richtung Don Papa. Der Ophyum ist in der Region 40-50 Euro und da erwarte ich schon einen guten Rum. Und es ist ein guter Rum, Geruch und Geschmack sind nicht künstlich und er hat einiges an Komplexität zu bieten. Geruch gefällt mir gut, süß und fruchtig, Vanille und Birne/Aprikose rieche ich. Der Geschmack ist auch gut, aber es kommt mehr Süße und weniger Frucht als beim Geruch zu vemuten war. Der Abgang dann ist eher schwach, im Prinzip merke ich nur Süße. Ich habe bei Rums oft das Problem bei der Bewertung, ob ich nur nach meinem Geschmack mich richten soll oder auch nach der Qualität gehen soll. Der Ophyum 12 würde ich als guten Rum bezeichnen, nicht künstlich und nicht überzuckert. Der Geschmack ist gut, süß und fruchtig mag ich. Aber er haut mich dann doch nicht vom Hocker oder begeistert mich, da fehlt mir noch etwas mehr Frucht und vielleicht etwas besonders, was mich überrascht, wie zb eine Note Schokolade oder ganz was anderes, eine Würze oder Schärfe. Für ca 40-50 Euro hätte ich da auf mehr gehofft. Sicher kein Fehlkauf aber auch kein Hit in meiner Sammlung.
