Warehouse #1 Long Pond WRHS#1 Legendary Marques TECA
Anyone already hooked on Jamaican ester funk will find a lot to chew on here. It's a young, cask-strength TECA from Long Pond: glue and solvent up front, then overripe tropical fruit, banana, pineapple, young oak and a little vanilla and caramel. Several tasters call it an "Esterbombe" — brutal and unpolished, but reads surprisingly ripe for only two years.

Now we are moving into better realms :-) Great nose, lots of (overripe) tropical fruit, plus esters of course, but also some glue. Banana and pineapple on the palate and of course lots of esters again.

A real ester bomb and a real surprise for only 2 years of storage. Primarily esters, glue and overripe tropical fruit on the nose. Again primarily esters on the palate, along with non-descript tropical fruits, young wood, caramel and vanilla, as well as light nutty aromas. The finish is again very fruity and sweet with light wood. Certainly even better in a drink than neat

Brussels Rhum Festival 15/03/2025 Warehouse produces just beautifull simple stuff. These are all great references if you want to get to know a distillery of even a Mark. This one is no exeption.

A strong, young Jamaican from my favorite Long Pond distillery. The aroma already gives you a hint that this is not going to be a beginner's drink, as esters, glue and ripe tropical fruits dominate. The taste is a brutal estery ride, unrefined and strong. OK price/performance ratio.

Only 2 years, but already a lot better than the unaged.

Nicely integrated alcohol, the glue power of caramel, vanilla and almond. Compared to the 1Yr a step forward.

Still not my cup of tea - jamaican ester rums. I need more time for it :-). I smell glue and some jindy of epoxy thing, besides esters. In taste it is dry strong punch which i need to get used to that. Definitely interesting experience.
