Valinch & Mallet Epris Traditional Rum 2011
Apricot and light coffee lead the way, with cinnamon, a little chocolate and a floral, almost agricole-like brightness underneath. One quirk keeps coming up: it changes a lot with air — a couple of members swear it develops gummy-bear notes after a few weeks open. Dry-leaning at 52%, more interesting than crowd-pleasing, and best explored slowly.

Floral, apricot Brazilian that shifts with air Rated fair rather than special — pleasant and floral, but several find it less balanced than sibling Brazilian bottlings, and one tired of it over a long evening.

Not my favorite from a fresh open bottle, but after a couple of weeks it gets some gummy bear notes, which sound funny, but taste great. Now a last review before bottle is down: Die Gummibärenbande auf nem Hollandtrip zum Tulpen kaufen…oder war es doch was anderes…lol? Rarely seen a rum that change that much during it’s lifespan in an open bottle.

Duft: let citrus / caramel / lækkert indtryk Smag: Caramellen og lidt hvid pebber, abrikos. Sødme uden at det bliver for meget. En god balance

Tastes like a young, floral Agricole. I was expecting a little more.

I have the rumclub Brazil which, as far as I understand, all come probably from the same batch. This one is clearly below. Of course you get the cinnamon, wood, but I found this one less balanced, less bright than the rumclub

Interesting taste, flowers, smoke, wood, hospital, everything is there. But I dont like to drink it the whole night
