R.L. Seale's Foursquare Finest Barbados Rum
Sip it neat and you get the classic Bajan pour: vanilla, dried fruit and caramel up front, a spicy, slightly dry oak backbone, and a finish tasters describe as cocoa and burnt sugar. Several people note the ABV can bite if you don't let it rest a few minutes. Many also happily pour it into an old fashioned or aged-rum cocktails.

One of the best Bajan standard rums to a very competitive price in a spectacular bottle. The nose is subtle and round with aromas of fruits and vanilla. At the palate it’s delicious, fruity and spicy with flavors of tropical fruits, vanilla and cinnamon.

The sample might have been corrupted, lost clarity and volume and feels like almost no alcohol. Very concentrated fruits.

... Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday sipping. It's a rum that will be appreciated especially by Romanians who are fed up with sugar and are looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Just pleasant and not aggressive flavours.

Great news as this is now 46 abv

This one was a huge surprise because the price is really good compared to the quality. You get a fairly complex fruity rum with Bajan touch and light smoky wood. The rum needs to rest for a while or the ABV will bite, but once rested you're rewarded for your patience.

Excellent PLV, for the price you get besides an unusual bottle also a slight idea of what Richard Seale is capable of. Good entry into the Foursquare world, fits as an easy sipper of the upper category to enjoyments of any kind - eg Cuban tobacco products.
Review by abaker-rum
A solid rum with classic flavors. I can’t say anything unique jumps out about the rum but it is a good sipper. The finish is probably the best aspect as it leaves a mix of cocoa, vanilla, caramel, burnt sugar, and oak.

Even for a newbie I could tell it’s from Barbados

A joyride. A floral nose leads to a surprising burst of fruit flavor, with a lingering aftertaste of almost anise or caramel. One of the sippers I've had and look forward to an old fashioned with it as I think it will bring out even more fruits.

Great value for money

This is an extraordinary rum for the price. Remarkably smooth and full of flavor. Caramel forward on the nose, with some chocolate and vanilla coming through. Notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, and almond. This is one to keep in your cabinet.

Ideal typical rum from Barbados. Vanilla, wood and mild on the nose and palate. Easy sipping.
Review by Tupiaz
Dark chocolate on the nose. Hint of spices. On the palate sweetness at the start followed by a delicious cocoa flavor

Wonderfully tasty Foursquare release. Smooth with a lot of nutmeg and dried fruit on the palate behind the expected vanilla/barrel notes. Surprised how different it is from the Doorly's XO but they fill a similar craving. Will be easy to finish the former knowing this one is waiting in the wings.

After revisiting this after a few months, i find it a little too peppery and misses some depth/taste

Not too pronounced aroma, pleasant taste, just the right range
Review by Abrahan Reyes
Excellent for the price. Well balanced and you can perceive most of the good attributes from the Foursquare rums but for a fraction of the price.

Nice rum at a good value.
Review by Sebastiaan Linssen
I have had this bottle in my cabinet for about a year. I have poured a glass on several occasions, and each time I am pleasantly surprised. The smell and taste are distinctive for a Bajan rum. Personally I can definitely compare it with the Doorly's XO and Doorly's 12. It is therefore, to me, a distinctive Foursquare rum. This one distinguish itself for being spicy, woody and quite dry. The finish is long and pleasant. For me, this is an example how a rum should taste. Due to that the price has increased to around 50 euro's in the Netherlands, I am a bit hesitant to buy it more often. If it would be 35 euro's, it would be part of my standard selection of bottles.

A really decent rum that you can drink any way all evening... Has depths of dark flavour and excellent value for money One that is often overlooked when comparing the ECS ranges

Delicious, sweet and spicy rum. Great sipping on it own and an amazing addition to cocktails that call for an aged rum at a good price.

The bottle might not be closed properly. In taste and smell there are not alcoholic tones.
