Aroma visualization from community tastings
Bacardi Reserva Limitada
Caramel, vanilla and coconut sit on a soft, syrupy body that most tasters found a touch too sweet. There's some young wood and burnt sugar underneath, but not much depth beyond the ex-bourbon cask. A few people enjoy it as an easy Bacardi sipper; more found it mild and one-dimensional, with the sweetness getting in the way.

How does Bacardi Reserva Limitada taste?
Aggregated from 24 community reviews.
Soft, sweet, one-note Bacardi sipper Opinions split, but most land in the middle: pleasant, soft and sweet, yet thin and one-dimensional. The sweetness is the recurring gripe. Not much rum here beyond the cask.

6,8:On the nose, the first impression we get is light with roasted wood notes as burnt sugar, caramel, nougat, spicy with vanilla, clove, cinnamon and fruity with an apple, a coconut. 7,3:On the palate, the attack is quite tasty, sweet with roasted wood notes as caramel, honey, cola and spices as allspice, perhaps cinnamon. It comes out a bit alcoholic, from the fruits, there are raisins, bananas, coconuts. 6,9:The finish is long, soft and syrupy, sweet with caramel, fruits like apples, some spices and burnt wood....

This is a very nice sipper from Bacardi. Not at all pretentious but just an excellent rum. The average age of the rum released today is 12 years, slightly under what ir was when first released.

The liquid History of Puerto Rico Tasting Nr. 15 - junges Holz, Vanille; süßer als sein Vorgänger, etwas Haselnussschnaps, wodurch es künstlich wirkt. Alkohol kaum spürbar. Einfach kein guter Spiced Rum.

The liquid History of Puerto Rico - vielen Dank an Artur für die Teilung!

Old bottle I’ve had for years. 40% ABV and the sweetness is not my thing anymore.

Tasting of Artur's Puerto Rico rums. A faint nose of yellow fruit, sweetness and neutral alcohol. On the palate, first yellow fruit, then caramel, burnt caramel and wood. The finish is short, with apple and burnt caramel. These Bacardi Premiums are definitely not worth their high price tag. Yet the best of the series.

Review by crazyforgoodbooze
