Aus der Afficionado Collection für mich der Beste, knapp vor dem Colorado. Dickflüssig und dunkel liegt er im Glas. Der Geruch nach Sherry, dunklen Früchten, dann leichten Holz- und Nusstönen. Er ist dickflüssig und verbreitet im Mund ein tolles weiches Gefühl. Schmeckt nach Sherry und Nüssen, etwas Holz und Tabak gesellt sich dazu. Der etwas höhere Alkoholgehalt von 47,6% steht ihm gut.

Last of the three "Aficionado" I tried and I have to say: no, Niko, it doesn't taste good! Nose: full volume, full-bodied, lots of old brandy. Plus various sweet, dried fruits, mainly prunes and raisins, plus dried dates and apricots. Underneath everything is a heavy sweetness of maple and treacle. Not unpleasant overall. 7,2 Palate: and again just sugar. Insanely sweet with prunes and dried, sticky dates. That's it, neither the Trinidad rum nor the walnut barrel get a chance. Only for sweet rum drinkers and Kröger fans. 2,0

Ein sehr guter Tropfen, bei dem man sowohl die langen Jahre in Trinidad als auch das Walnuss Finish herausschmeckt. Etwas Kaffee und etwas Tabak ist auch mit dabei mit viel Rosine und Würze. Gefällt mir gut und ist von den drei Rums der neuen Wagemut Linie mein Platz 2.

In der Nase noch angenehm und vielversprechend. Im Geschmack kommt dann die böse Überraschung: Pappsüß! Für mich ist diese Süße dermaßen dominant, dass ich kaum andere Aromen heraus bekommen kann. Der Abgang ist kaum vorhanden. Leider nicht meins.

Auf dem 13. GRF probiert und der absolute Tiefpunkt des Tages. Konnte mich kaum darauf konzentrieren da er fast schon ekelig war. Vielleicht war die Konkurrenz an dem Tag einfach zu hart aber ich habe hier nur ein Aromen Brei wahrgenommen der hart in die sehr süße, cremig, süffige Richtung geht. Wollte es einfach schnell beenden. Absolut spannend wie Fässer den Rum beeinflussen und auch vernichten können. Da bleibt ich lieber bei den Fass Experimenten von Artesano.

Ausgezeichneter Rum, die Nase schon kräftig fruchtig am Gaumen eine Wucht. Warm, rund, angenehm süß und perfekt zur einem MADURO Deckblatt. Langer Abgang mit fruchtigem Nachklang.

Der Maduro ist eher was für Leute die auf süße rums wert legen und dieser hat es in sich , ein 20 Jahre alter Trinidad Rum mit viel Sherry mit Walnuß und dunklen Früchten. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden und der Abgang auch sehr langanhaltend. Also ich liebe ihn ❤️

Der große, intensivere Bruder vom PX Cask. Fruchtiger, etwas süßer, milder, runder. Sehr sehr geiler Dessert-Rum / Spirit Drink, ziemlich teuer (teuerste Spirituose die ich mir gegönnt habe bislang) aber schlussendlich doch wert. Kommt für meinen aktuellen Pur-Geschmack der Perfektion schon ziemlich nahe. Drinks: - Pur: 5/5

Die klassische Rezeptur vom wagemut PX-cask fortgeführt. Strotzt vor schönen Sherry Aromen, auch dank höherer %. Ist aber eben auch sehr süß, fast schon zäh und der Rum steht hier einfach an zweiter Stelle

Hanse Spirit Hamburg Februar 2026. Und noch den Maduro hinterher, aber finde ihn leider auch überteuert. Ansonsten recht lecker, sehr röstig und würzig. Sherry auch deutlich erkennbar und noch leicht süßlich.

The viscous consistency alone makes you notice an extreme amount of sugar on the palate. Blindly, I would probably have guessed it was a liqueur. On the other hand, the percentages are well integrated. The taste is very smooth, pleasant, very sweet, a little wood, tobacco, plum, not really complex, short finish. Even though I'm not a smoker, I can imagine it going very well with a cigar.

Wow what a full load of sweetness and sherry. Very viscous, almost like a liqueur. I would have liked a little more rum and less sherry. Despite the strong sweetness, the walnut barrel comes through at the end. Unfortunately a little too short. For 120 euros, I would have hoped for a little more complexity and less sweetness. However, my wife likes it very much :)

Mein erster Rum aus der Aficionado Kollektion. Das Walnuss-Fass schmeckt man raus. Ansonsten eher auf der süßen Seite ohne zu süß zu sein. Hat auch ordentlich Bumms, insgesamt wurd euch mal sagen das Experiment ist durchaus gelungen. Zur Zigarre bestimmt passend, bin aber Nichtraucher.

Positive Überraschung hier nachdem ich nicht der größte Fan der 2021er Wagemut edition mit PX sherry blend war. Aber hier offenbart sich eine neue Geschmacksdimension... Walnuss Holz ist definitiv erkennbar und bringt schöne bitter-würzig-nussige Aromen mit sich, das Palo Corrado Finish eine leichte Säure und Fruchtigkeit, der PX sherry zum blenden die nötige süße und Viskosität und alles untermalt von dieser unfassbar geilen Aromen Power aus Kaffee, Walnuss, Rosine und süßem Virginia Tabak. Sehr komplex auch und alles andere als langweilig und nicht zu süß. Sehr gelungenes Experiment! Chapeau! Bin zwar kein Zigarren Raucher aber kann ich mir extrem gut vorstellen dazu! Mit etwas weniger Zucker hätte er fast eine 8+ Bewertung bekommen aber der bleibt leider doch recht intensiv hängen...

Read full review →The Maduro is powerfully sweet, but also has an alcoholic punch, so it is not an absolute lightweight. This suits the idea of pairing it with a cigar. After all, you need something that can counter the cigar, but also harmonizes well with it - the strong sweetness and dominant raisin flavours help here.
