Aroma visualization from community tastings
TCRL Panamá Province Panama 2008
Sipped neat, this drinks dry and spicy rather than sweet, with charred wood, tobacco and raisin over a caramel-toffee base. A few tasters catch an unusual smoky, bacon-like edge for a Panama, plus coconut and dried apricot. At 52.8% it's got some heat and a tannic, slightly bitter finish. Opinions split: some found it layered and fruity, one called it flat and forgettable.

Enjoyed this, particularly more because it came at the end of what was a long-ish day. Sweet, bourbon notes with a fair bit of oak. I am new to Panama rums, this one made me reach out again.
