Afro-Caribbean Rum Equiano Ominira 2010
Oak leads here — French-oak tannins, caramel and roasted notes over vanilla and a bit of tropical fruit, with the Foursquare Barbados profile several tasters spot right away. Blended with Mauritius rum and bottled at 52%, the higher proof gives it real presence. Most call it a nicely made sipper; a recurring gripe is the pepper, and a couple find it lacks depth and body.

Review by Jack M
Tasted at Ian Burrell’s Masterclass at UK RumFest. On the nose there is Sherry, baking spices, vanilla and a musty aspect. The palate gives raisins and plums. I guessed at a Barbados rum based on the profile and perhaps a Foursquare.

Gut gemachter Blend, aber im Abgang zu viel Column. Plv nicht so gut.
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Really successful and exciting old blend from Barbados and Mauritius. Banana, coconut and caramel from Barbados and grilled grapefruit, smoke and minimal mint, as well as roasted nuts from Mauritius. Very tasty.
