CDI Travellers Belize 2005

Sip this one neat and let the 66.2% breathe — most people are surprised how soft it drinks for the strength. Expect cocoa, coffee and vanilla up front with that Belize coconut note running through, plus a warm nutty, roasted-wood side. One taster called it grilled pineapple in cask strength. A couple of drops of water tames the sharper edge some find on the palate.

Soft cocoa-coconut Belize at cask strength Well-liked Travellers cask-strength single cask — cocoa, coconut and coffee, with the alcohol nicely tucked in. A few wanted more intensity, and one found it sharp-edged neat.

still the holy grail for me when it comes to Belize. 🇧🇿🙏 Grilled pineapple to drink at cask strength, a poem :) 🍍🔥 buttery and smooth despite 66% and an endlessly brilliant finish, incidentally also the rum that finally brought me to cask strength and co 6 years ago at Perola :D very very cool stuff, very straightforward and sexy 🤤😍🇧🇿🍍👌🏽

This is a tasting set from 2022 where we had a lot of fun around the table. Another very nice CDI. Fruity and nicely balanced in the spices and roasted wood. The empty glass is really nice and fruity and the coconut stands out even more.

Today times Belize TastingThe CDI with neat cocoa and the Belize-typical coconut note pleases well. But just in comparison with the slightly longer matured RA and the Flensburg I lack a little intensity here. But a nice drop, alcohol is well integrated if you consider the over 66%.

Tried at Tropic City in Bangkok. Loved it. First Belize and first Compagnie des Indes and will definitely be trying to find more!
