Feller Rumreich White Rum
A German unaged white that genuinely hangs with the Caribbean crowd — that's the surprise most tasters land on. The nose is all bright ester and tropical fruit: pineapple, lime, fresh grass, a whiff of nail polish. On the palate it's oily and peppery with a floral, almost tobacco-leaf edge. At 55.8% the alcohol is well integrated, and reviewers rate it as good neat as it is in a rum and cola.

Ein bemerkenswerter ungereifter Rum. Tolle ausbalancierte Nase mit Zitrusfrüchten, dezenter Ananas und leichten Gewürzen. Am Gaumen sehr angenehm. Wirklich tolles PLV und insbesondere für einen deutschen Rum wirklich sehr gut. Der kann wirklich mit vielen karbischen Brüdern und Schwestern ohne Probleme mithalten.

Sehr schöne Ester und tropische Früchte in der Nase. Am Gaumen Ananas, Limette und eine dezente Würzigkeit mit einem kräftigen, mittlelangem Nachklang. Pur schon sehr gut, aber als Mixer liefert der ungelagerte Standard von Feller ebenfalls eine tolle Performance. Tolle Rum Cola.

Zum ersten Mal beim black Forrest rumday vor der Nase gehabt und weitgehend ignoriert. Wie gut das Feller auch beim German Rumfestival 2024 präsent war und ich es fast geschafft hätte es wieder zu ignorieren. Soviel zum Stellenwert den ich deutschen Rum beigemessen habe. Wie gut das mein Bruder letztes Jahr diese Flasche gekauft hat von der ich gerade koste. Ordentlich Ester in der Nase, Frucht in Richtung Ananas und Limette dazu eine gute Portion Würze. Geschmacklich kommt es ölig daher, es erinnert etwas an Tabak und ist eher auf der floralen Seite. Insgesamt wirklich eine schöne Geschichte mit Potential für mehr. Das war jedenfalls ein Augenöffner.

Rum, wie er purer und aufs Wesentliche konzentrierter kaum sein kann. Man schmeckt förmlich die Fermentation. Abgang zitzonig-pfeffrig. Im Cocktail bestimmt kaum schlagbar, aber auch pur ein Genuss, was sicher auch an der guten Alkoholintegration liegt.

#5225 12.04.2025 Running some white samples at home while relaxing a bit. Nose Medium intense, fresh, fruity, citrus, light banana, light nutts, spice, light olive. Palate Intense, balanced, fresh, light oily, citrus, light pineapple, light olive, medium spicy. Finish Long and warm, fresh, light oily, citrus, spice, medium intense, medium spicy, light nutts. Empty glass Spice, citrus, light floral, nutts. Needs to rest for a while to really open up and the ABV to settle properly.
