Guyana fans who like a twist will get the most here: a 26-year Port Mourant finished in an ex-Caroni cask, so on top of the usual dried fruit, old varnished wood, leather and smoke you get tropical fruit and a whiff of engine-room rubber. Several tasters find the nose beats the palate, and one calls it "to sweet to smoky."

#5414 21.06.2025 Relaxing with a few sample while preparing for a private tasting in the afternoon. Nose Wood, light caramel, dried fruit, faint honey, light roasted, light nutts, faint citrus. Palate Oily, balanced, wood, light roasted, faint melon, light citrus, dried fruit, light caramel, light floral, spice. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, oily, faint chocolate, spice. Empty glass Vanilla, chocolate, raisin, faint melon, citrus, herbs. German Rum Fest 2024 sample.

Ist wieder Uitvlugt ohne Ende, so lanhsam gefallen mir diese modrigen Teile. Ist jedenfalls sehr rauchig, holzig und auch röstig. Leder lässt sich am Gaumen erkennen, außerdem Schokolade und etwas Vanille. Lecker :) (Liegt vielleicht auch am Caroni-Fass:))

Uitvlugt from a Mizunara cask that was previously topped with Tortuga 3-Caroni. It was very exciting to see how much of the heavy Caroni notes were transferred to the Uitvlugt. A successful experiment.

Very interesting Uitvlugt, where you can taste the influence of the ex-Caroni cask from the very first drop. It is otherwise characterized by notes of wood and dried fruit. The sweetness is subtle and harmonizes perfectly with the alcohol. The purchase was well worth it

Nez timide sur le caoutchouc, la gomme, l’abricot, l’orange, notes pâtissières. Avec aération plus de notes empyreumzthiques encore, une légère vanilles, et une voile de bois qui s’installe ou une poudre d’amandes. Bouche sur la même trame. Un voile boisé complète la palette gourmande. Les 50% nous amènent quand même une belle longueur et préservent les arômes fruités. Une caresse sur le palais ! Le profil évolue longuement vers la mangue, les fruits exotiques mûrs, un léger caramel tandis qu’une trame fumée s’installe en fond. À noter une petite poignée d’épices également. Ultra gourmand, à la limite de la Jamaïque low Estes.

Myslenka DNC( do not collect) kolekce se mi velmi velmi libi. U tohoto plneni se jedna o 26 let stary Port Mourant ktery je stareny v sudu po caroni. To mu davy intenzivne a pro guyanu neobvykly nos, ktery je o neco lepsi nez chut. Presto hezky!

Sehr guter Rum, der für keinen Geschmack eher Richtung Bourbon geht. Leider kann ich nichts von Guyana rausschmecken. Trotzdem ein sehr guter spannender Rum!

très belle idée que ce mariage entre un PM qui devait être assez vieux, fruité et élégant avec un Caroni bien lourd et un fût qui marque bien. Ca ne le transforme pas en une bête de caoutchouc ou autre jus de bois, mais ça lui apporte un côté gras et bien gourmand qui lui va à merveille. Bref, je suis plutôt fan de cette petite bouteille…. qui a malheureusement un certain prix pour 20 malheureux centilitres. Après, 26 ans au compteurs, ça coûte toujours, comme la version de LM&V à l’époque.

On initial smell it gives off a stronger abv than on the bottle. With petrol and roasted wood. Very easy sip and not as strong as the smell. Initially sweet like plums, cherry summer fruits. Medium finish with tasting holding on nice. Very surprising

Tasted at German rum festival Good rum. I had higher expectations on this rum comparing to the other bottlings by Precious Liquors. This one is overshadowed by all the other amazing rums.
