12.09.2025 Retasting and I still like it a lot. ------------------- 04.10.2019 A lovely evening with a friend. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light roasted wood, pineapple, overripe, light glue, light caramel, anise. Palate Round, fresh, light wood, anise, berries, light glue, balanced. Finish Medium long, light wood, anise, light glue, faint caramel, light cherry. Extra note Needs to rest for a good while to release its full potential.

Just that there is no doubt I tasted many Savanna, and many Grand Arôme and was never disappointed. You clearly smell the port cask, it's not a problem even if that's not my favorite Finnish. But the taste... For me, it's just off. There's something really not pleasant. And the longer the time pasts, the worst it gets... there's no end to it. Maybe it was the sample I received.

Mit so einem Savanna mit Port Finish kann ich meine Abneigung zu diesem Finish etwas kurieren. Hier fügt sich dies gut ein ohne störend zu wirken. Für eine höhere Bewertung ist mir die Abfüllung jedoch zu holzi & bitter.

Mega Nase nach Sauerkirsche, etwas Essig, Gewürzen und Portwein. Geschmacklich relativ frisch, würzig , süß säuerlich nach Eukalyptus, sauerkirsch, Kaffee, Holz und etwas Kakao. Die Essig Note stört mich persönlich etwas, danach kommt aber volle Breitseite Menthol Wick Bonbon durch, wodurch er wieder die Kurve kriegt!

Auch beim zweiten Versuch: in der Nase großartig, im Mund zunächst auch. Bis der nach meinem persönlichen Geschmack viel zu starke Holzeinfluss es wieder kaputt macht. Ich muss den Gesamteindruck etwas nach unten korrigieren. Vielleicht ist die jüngere Version von dem Porto Cask hier besser.

Super Fruchtig in der Nase Grand Arôme deutlich zu erkennen... wird nicht vom Port erschlagen, toll . Am Gaumen... Ölig und voller Kraft Flutet er den Mundraum , leichte Ester und Kirsche Pflaume . Schöne Süße . Sehr lecker... bester Port Finish Savanna, eigentlich generell bester Rum mit Port Finish. Lecker 😊

Sour and just low Savanna taste. You feel it just in the end Rumy z destilerie Savanna jsou jedny z mych nejoblibenejsich. Doporucuji kazdemu vyzkouset zejmena vuce esterove kousky jako je Grand arome nebo HERR. Tolik ovoce v nekolika malo kapkach tekutiny jste dlouho necitili.

Color: Mahogany Aroma: Sweet, aromatic and fruity with unmistakable sweet port wine. Also esters and solvents. Prunes, with some toffee emerging with time. Taste: Sweet and fruity in the mouth with toffee. Spicy hot when swallowed, then toffee, liquorice and port wine. Finish: Medium length. Spicy, peppery and hot with liquorice. Dry aftertaste, like black tea. 87 points

Immer noch ein sehr guter Rum. Neben Frucht und Estern hab ich hier, wie bei diversen Savannas, wieder den rauchigen Abgang. Love it!

Nez assez agréable, typique de Savana avec des cerises des fruits rouges mûrs, on connaît assez facilement le porto après quelques minutes d’aération font tout de suite des notes de fûts L’attaque en bouche est super sur le porto et les fruits, la cerise amer et le caramel le boisées et un côté âpre se fait rapidement ressentir ce qui peut être dérangeant La final est très longue sur le bois et le café Parti pris boisé non dérangeant car la maîtrise du porto l’emporte
