Swell de Spirits Bielle On Tour 03 (Limoges Spirits Festival) 2023
The surprise here is a creamy, milky veil over the fresh sugarcane — not what you expect from a white agricole. Underneath sit lemon zest, herbs and an oddly medicinal, bitter-orange edge that a few tasters compared to Asian herbal medicine. Marie Galante cane runs through it, dry and green. Most agree the nose out-promises the palate, and the finish falls a touch short.

Nice and very intense sugar cane flavors 🤩

Un rhum blanc dans le pur style agricole, dont le nez évoque immédiatement la canne à sucre fraîche, comme si nous étions dans un champs de canne. On y trouve également des agrumes (zestes de citron) et des notes médicinales qui offrent quelque chose de gourmand, parfumé et plus complexe qu’un simple rhum blanc végétal. Le profil est sec mais avec une belle rondeur et un bon équilibre. En bouche, exit les fruits et place aux notes de fraîcheur sur les fleurs, les herbes aromatiques et comme une odeur un peu de médecine asiatique traditionnelle. On retrouve également pas mal de piment et de poivre qui relèvent le profil en bouche. Malgré ces arômes vifs, le jus se veut plutôt rond, crémeux et gouleyant en bouche. L’alcool y est très bien intégré. La finale est de bonne longueur et rassemble à la fois le nez et le palais sur le plan aromatique : le fruité fait son retour avec les agrumes, tandis qu’on conserve une trame épicée laissée par le palais. Le profil demeure sec, vert, terreux mais conserve une belle fraîcheur. Un très bon Bielle qui donne la rondeur et de la saveur en tout point.

Sehr erdiger Agricole, kaum grasige Noten. Trotz der 58% sehr angenehm zu trinken. An der Nase komplexer als am Gaumen.

Au nez il y a tout de suite un voile de crème / lait qui enrobe la canne végétale et quelques agrumes légers, c’est très surprenant et agréable. La bouche suite cette logique avec un petit côté orange amère et médicamenteux complémentaire, qui ajoutent un peu de complexité et de plaisir, le rhum évolue. Par contre la finale m’a laissé sur ma fin, un peu trop moyenne et amère, sinon c’était vraiment pépite ! La bouteille n’a pas survécu à 2 soirées de suite… heureusement qu’il y en a une 2eme en stock !

Ein recht guter an der Nase und am Gaumen intensiver Marie Galante… neben den klassischen frischen pflanzlichen Aromen erscheinen an der Nase süssliche Früchte, die am Gaumen in Richtung Bitterorange wechseln. Ebefall gut wahrnehmbar ist ein schwere Süße. Im Abgang wechselt es dann.. eine merkwürdige medizinische Bitterkeit ist angangs sehr präsent, bevor sich ganz spät die typischen pflanzlichen Agricole-Aromen bemerkbar machen. Der Abgang kostet leider ein paar Punkte. So bleibt er gerade noch sehr gut. PS: ich habe ihn gerade im Ti Punch..da ist er hervorragend 😋👍🏻

Erstmal Danke fürs abgeben der Flasche. Wie immer mit diesem Profil, interessant es pur probiert zu haben, aber mein Lieblingsprofil wird es nicht. Die Flasche wurde hauptsächlich als Mixer für TiPunch/Daiquiri Experimente angeschafft. Dort liefert er aber wie erwartet auch ab.

Sehr guter Bielle. Für einen Agricole hab ich hier quasi gar keine grasigen, grünen Noten. Eher Erdigkeit und einiges an Bitterstoffen ohne unangenehm zu sein. Tolles Ausgangsprodukt, gelagert sicherlich sehr sehr gut.

Encore une sortie Bielle pour Swell. Cette fois, un blanc très frais et floral ou la canne domine. En bouche, c'est très piquant. La canne encore. In côté herbacé. C'est bon. Idéal en ti-punch. Mais pas la meilleure sortie de cet embouteilleur.

Ein sehr angenehmer Agricole. In der Nase und am Gaumen viel Zuckerrohr und Frische. Pur gut zu trinken, Alkohol Recht gut eingebunden. Seine wahre Stärke entfaltet er aber im Ti Punch, da ist er echt eine Wucht.

Der hier hat es ganz schön schwer, wenn man vorher den RX16236 verköstigt hat. Auch ein schönes Zuckerrohrdestillat, aber auf der Zunge kann er die Nase nicht mehr so ganz bestätigen. Gerade der Abgang ist nicht so lang wie erhofft. Von daher knapp eine 8, aber trotzdem ein tolles Teil.
