Hampden Kill Devil (The Whisky Barrel) C<>H 2007
What surprises people first is the dessert side: several tasters get a "Joghurteis mit Amarenakirschen" thing — yogurt-cherry ice cream — alongside the pineapple-and-banana Hampden ester wall. This continental-aged C<>H is a bit young, so it leans fruity and concentrated over deep complexity. At 63.5%, the alcohol is mostly well tucked in. A slight bitter, leathery tail bugs a few drinkers.

On a par with the two 10-year-old casks. Super quality

I think they are simply delicious. Especially the buttery and beautiful yogurt-cherry flavor is amazing. Reminiscent of a yogurt ice cream with Amarena cherries. One of my Hampden favorites even though it's continental. Basically different but also really good. Super bottling!!!

Crosstasting C◇H 1st Kill Devil 2. FRC C◇H 3. the Duchess 4. TBRC Frankenstein 5. the Whisky Jury All in all, a surprising result that I would never have guessed before. It's a shame that this bottling is no longer available at a decent price.

Hampden a little too young and therefore lacks a little complexity. But this smoky side at the end of the mouth and this aromatic mouth full of bananas, pineapples and olives is very good !

Solid c<>h Hampden, but for me personally much too intense after marzipan. Almost has something of the liquid with which mon cheri are filled. In the finish I find it a bit tiringly leathery and bitter...

Oh Hampden, my Hampden: Ester, pineapple, pineapple, and pineapple. And ester. The only thing standing in the way of a better rating is a slight bitter note in the finish and the alcohol could be better integrated. But criticism at a high level.

Very easy to drink and greedy. Not very complex. A little bit like Port Mourant but much more fruity. Quite intense but slight lack of length (still present but quite low intensity).
