J. Bally Blanc

Ti punch drinkers are the core audience here. This Martinique agricole leads with fresh sugarcane, grassy and floral notes, then a fruity lift of pineapple and mango. The 55% sits milder than expected, but the finish turns dry with a little pepper and bitterness. One taster called it a "ti'punch déjà fait" — practically a cocktail in the bottle.

Tasted this great Agricole Blanc at the Rhum Fest Paris 2026. The nose is round, thick, sweet, herbal, fruity and spicy with scents of cane sugar, bagasse, pineapple, banana and milk chocolate. At the palate it’s round, strong, intense, sweet, fruity, spicy, fat and warm with flavors of cane juice, syrup, pineapple, mango, dates, citrus, pepper and chili. The finish is rather long.

La Route des Rhums Advent Calendar 2023 No. 13 J. Bally Blanc. Here is an Agricole as it stands in the book. Nice and fresh nose, consisting of agricole and sugar cane. Also fresh on the palate, agricole, sugar cane and tropical fruit.

A basic J. Bally in the pure agricultural tradition. Sugar cane, herbaceous and floral notes are easily found, along with lovely tropical fruit aromas that add roundness and flavor. On the palate, the attack is clean, dry but pleasant. While agricultural flavors predominate, exotic fruits such as mango and pineapple add a delicious mouthfeel. The rum is slightly syrupy, balanced and expressive. The finish is dry and of medium length, with a slight bitterness, peppery notes and typical agricultural aromas with the freshness of sugarcane and herbs. Fruit is a little less noticeable. A classic but well-executed white rum that can be enjoyed neat or as a Ti Punch.

A fruity aroma rises from the glass as soon as you open it, the nose is very inviting, pineapple and banana. The alcohol is well integrated, the 55% is rather mild. The taste is dominated by the floral notes . The finish is long with slight bitterness. As Ti Punch, the rhum rather brings out the mineral, grassy and floral notes.

Advent 2023 n13. A good white. Nose: Sweet cane (ripe, according to the official description), warm, citrus, passion, greedy with watts. Palate: pleasantly warm and very sweet, quite fat, lemon again, almost a ti'punch already made, but quite strong. Length: the sweetness of the fatty side is back, medium to long. A good little rum that should be excellent in ti'punch, a good candidate for aging.

Beautiful intense nose and taste of rum, I would say a good entry into the world of Agricola. Not too strong as some other Agricola, a floral meadow aroma with hints of fruit. The taste of tropical fruits, pineapple, mango came to me. A little strength towards the end and a good length of flavour. Very pleasant I will definitely buy another, interesting rum to deliver in my own cask.
