Trois Rivières Cuvée Saint-Pierre
Give it 15 minutes in the glass and it opens into baked apple, dried figs and dates, sugarcane and a woody, peppery edge. One taster caught a "varnish / glue" note untypical for an agricole, which adds interest. It's fresh, floral and fruity rather than heavy — an unusual, minerally aged Martinique agricole.

17.07.2025 Retasting and I still like it. ------------- Nose Wood, light solvent, fresh, apple, light tannins, dried fruit. Palate Wood, dried fruit, sugarcane, overripe, fresh, light solvents. Finish Medium to long, wood, sugarcane, fruits, overripe. A nice and fruity rum once rested for 15+ minutes.

From old tasting notes: comparison with India wood. I found a way not to write down which one I preferred! But from memory, it was the Bois d'Inde. These are two very fine cuvées, greedy and pleasant, very well balanced between fruit and wood.

Ve vůni je to jasný jablečný koláč, pak trochu té štávy. V chuti jsme pořád u jablek, která jsou dominantní a také je velmi výrazná chuť pepře. Sneslo by to významně vyšší abv, takto je to taková štávička. Byť příjemná.

Riassaggiato dopo anni il voto scende almeno a 9.0, manca la nota secca percepita le prime volte. -------------- Colpiscono le note secche e speziate, di tabacco e legno a cui seguono quelle dolci di fichi e datteri, un finale rotondo e delicato, una perla di Trois Rivieres estremamente minerale che non pecca in raffinatezza.

Nez surprenant pour un agricole, degusté à l'aveugle je n'avais pas reconnu. Très belle attaque, l'alcool bien intégré, belle profondeur. Longueur très agréable. J'aime beaucoup.

Compared with Bois d Inde. I didn't have a chance to put them against Oman. I put Pierre on the same level as Bois although I like Pierre just a tiny speck of sand more than Bois. Pierre is more fresh, floral and fruity (especially with my favourite apples). Bois is more sweet and darker in nose and taste.

Rather discreet, vegetal nose. Mineral and dry on the palate, but well-balanced. No longer vegetal at all, on the palate we find woody apple-cinnamon with a hint of citrus. Not very intense, the palate is long and finishes on coffee/black chocolate. Nice, but not worth the price.
