Velier Chelo Clairin Sajous 2021

This unaged Haitian cane-juice spirit is all fresh grass, brine, herbs and a hint of solvent, with an oily texture and a little citrus. Some find it wildly fun; others say it lives on one or two notes and lacks depth. Rested a few minutes, the sharp edges mellow.

#4886 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, vegetal, citrus, spice, olive, light herbal, sugarcane, light floral, faint smoke. Palate Oily, fresh, round, vegetal, olive, faint salt, faint smoke, citrus, faint grass, sugarcane, faint tar. Finish Medium long, fresh, oily, vegetal, olive, light salt, citrus, light herbal. Not a bad rum either and the price is usually pretty good at release.

On-line degustation of Clairin by Rum explorer 9.12.2024 velice zajimavé na nose.. signifikatní a zapamatovatelné.. na chuti spousta trávy, bylinek a koření. V chuti je to velmi velmi “pure” což je ale přesně to, co člověk od clarinu čeká.

Wonderful masterclass with Daniele Biondi. It was great to try to whole range. The story of Clairin and Haiti 🇭🇹 is absolutely amazing. It is a privilege to be able to try such a pure product at home.
