N. Kröger Wagemut Fasssprache: Caucasian Oak Rum N. 07 2023
One reviewer pinned it as "holzig, fruchtig, frisch" — and that's the gist: a young Trinidad cask-strength rum finished six months in Caucasian oak, which deepens the color and pushes it toward maple syrup, passion fruit and a smoky tobacco edge. The base is spirity and the wood influence is light, so most tasters found it interesting more than wowing. Notably earthy, nutty and spicy, not sweet.

Fasssprache N. 07 Caucasian Oak vs. N. 01 Basis Rum.
