Guyana fans who like a technical, ester-driven pot still will find plenty to chew on here. Dried figs, prunes, dates and toffee up front, with dark chocolate and roast underneath. A glue-and-vinegar hit fades with air, then an Oloroso cask takes over — a few tasters wish it stepped back a bit so the DHE/PM marks could show. Metallic edge and a "spannend würzig" spicy streak throughout.

Nobilis 54.3 2014 dhe/pm. Amazingly round for its young age, better than the dhe/pm from sbs. lots of molasses, more depth and complexity.

Das ist ein überraschender Diamond, der einen fordert, aber im positiven Sinn. Ist die Nase noch relaativ zurückhaltend mit leichtem Ester und erwas Frucht, entwickelt er am Gaumen eine recht breite Aromenpalette. Angefangen von einer schönen Süße, wechselnd zu etwas Frucht, viel pflanzlichem Geschmack (Kastanien-/Paprikagemisch), rauchigem, würzigem Aromen und wieder etwas Ester mit Metall… cremig und intensiv verteilt er sich. Lediglich der Abgang ist etwas unspektakulär… Mir gefällt er sehr gut

Bought this bottle based on the reviews, so thanks! First impression: interesting Guyana, there’s a lot going on. Sweet, sour, fruit, spices and wood. Not necessarily in that order. Looking forward to explore it some more!

The nose is dominated by dried fruit (mainly fig), accompanied by fruitiness, wood, plum, roasted notes, some glue and toffee. Similar on the palate but more balanced and rounded. I like it very much.

Here is the next Diamond. Also very tasty again. Tastes and smells a little like medicine. Dried plum, dates and apricots are clearly recognizable. A little spicy in the finish, but very interesting.

#4608 10.02.2024 tasting event at the Nobilis Warehouse, Haderslev. This is a very well rounded rum considering its age. A big surprise and many bought a bottle to bring home. Nose Light wood and roasted notes, faint smoke, fruity, round, light medicinal. Palate Well rounded, light wood and roasted notes, fruity, round, balanced, light caramel, anise. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, round, raisin, chocolate.

Very tasty and round "young" Diamond. Raisin and other dried fruits, caramel, pepper and dark chocolate. Nevertheless, quite dry and woody with a slight acidity reminiscent of lime in the finish.

Tasted at German rum festival Excellent rum. Bought a bottle. Price quality wise a fantastic rum. It surprises the Guyana 19 in this sense.

Very interesting diamond, with its high ester profile. Nose: intensely spicy, dry-fruity and somehow different. At first I have a muted, musty impression, which is underlined by a sulphurous, waxy aroma reminiscent of shiitake mushrooms. The sweetish scent of dried dates and prunes also matches this. The Oloroso cask comes through clearly. A pleasant freshness of lime can also be heard in the background. A little too much sherry, but still good. 8.0 Palate: Unexpectedly tart and sharp, almost metallic. Lime with red currant and sour cherry. In addition, this time in the background, this slightly musty, sulphurous, shiitake mushroom-like taste. Slightly spicy and a little smoky on the finish. Again, different and therefore interesting, but I don't find it really tasty. 7,7
