Infernal Rum No. Five
Reviews land in the middle at best, and most people feel the same way: the nose is the good part — vanilla, cinnamon, plum, a little dark chocolate — but it thins out on the palate. Several tasters describe it as watered-down and slightly bitter on the finish, with the 40% not always well integrated. Pleasant to sniff, forgettable to sip.

How does Infernal Rum No. Five taste?
Aggregated from 50 community reviews.
Nice nose, thin and mild palate Most agree the nose promises more than the palate delivers — inviting spice and vanilla up front, then thin, mild and a touch bitter. A few found it pleasant; several called it boring.

In my opinion, not as bad as the community has rated it. It tastes well spiced and also slightly tangy. Goes in the direction of spiced rum, but it's not. But completely okay for the price :)

24 Days of Rum, Blue Edition, Day 18 You are greeted with a whole range of delicious fruit, plum, almond, honey, cinnamon and spices on the nose. Elegant wood and vanilla notes soon follow and round off the impression. This continues on the palate - with slightly less fruit but still very round and with a really well-integrated 40%. The medium-long finish is still fruity.

At 40% abv, it’s a little peppery. Some sweetness and tropical notes, but not very special in my opinion.

Time to finish up the 1423 Christmas calendar "24 days of rum". A rum from the band Infernal on day 18. In the nose I find hints of spices and some leather, and in the notes I'm also getting some spices, toffee and a bitter aftertaste

Guatemala. I love myself a good independent Darsa. No idea what this is. Nose: sweet but interesting. Lemonade. Minerals. Whiff of funk. White chocolate. Okay okay. Taste: mmm pretty diluted. Smell was better. Alcohol not very well integrated. Everything is quite mild here. Too mild. The smell was much more appealing. Very boring. Bit bitter. An underperforming experience sadly.

I was surprised to be honest. It is good, not so sweet in nose and taste, but really interesting. Some leather and wood, vanilla etc.

24 rums 2022 vůně nejdřív hodně ostrá, potom jemně citrusová chuť mírně pálivě kořenitá, ale nijak moc nezaujal vůně 2/5 Chuť 2/5

Sample no.18 of the 24 days of rum calendar 2023. Fruity on the nose but more of a wood, vanilla and coffee on the tounge.
Review by Schnapsschuesse
Lots of vanilla, cinnamon and above all bourbon on the nose, through to dark chocolate. Behind that, something dirty-fruity, with a hint of pineapple. Very pleasant, especially as I wasn't expecting anything here. On the palate, unfortunately, the whole thing tipped over and came across very thin and alcoholic. Not much remains of the nose, minimal fruit in the middle and only a hint of chocolate in the finish. There is a huge discrepancy between the nose and the palate - but I also doubt that more time in the barrel would change anything here, apart from more woody notes.

Geruch recht mild und dezent. Geschmacklich auch wenig Tiefe.
