Mein Fazit vorab, für den Preis kann man echt nix falsch machen. Gefährlich süffig durch den gut integrierten Alkohol. Mir hat dieser Blend aus den zwei Jahrgängen gut gefallen. Die typischen EMB Marker sind lecker und sehr süffig bei dieser Abfüllung.

#6005 29.11.2025 Rum tasting at Whisky Watcher in Odense. This is a very nice release. Round and smooth with nice fruit and good ABV and wood integration. Price to quality is pretty good on this bottle in my mind.

8,7:On the nose, medicinal with esters, polish, rubber, some metallic patina, overripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, roasted wood notes like chocolate, leather, spicy with allspice, slightly burnt, meaty, bbq hints, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, papaya and orange peel arise, smokiness, coffee hints, molasses is slightly minty, floral, soap hints joins. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is fruity with overripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, papaya, mango, citrus fruits, medicinal with esters, soap hints, oak is roasted with caramel, pastry, burnt, meaty, spicy with allspice, warm, vanilla, salty and molasses is sweet with honey, flowery and perfumed, herbaceous, slightly minty. 8,6:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, medicinal with esters, chemical, with toasted oak notes like crème brûlée, caramelized tones, sweet, leather, peppery, smoky, meaty, fruity with banana, pineapple, mango, citrus fruits, molasses is dark with black tea, licorice, vegetal with hay.

Der EMB-Anteil sticht hier vor allem im Geschmack mit reifer Mango, polierter Eiche und etwas Minze durch. Die Verdünnung auf 57,1% ist gut gewählt, denn dadurch bleibt der Rum immer noch vollmundig und aromendicht, hat aber gleichzeitig ein geschmeidiges Mundgefühl, was ihn gefährlich süffig macht. Eine wirklich gelungene und leckere Clarendon-Mischung!

18-12-2025 - Rate 8.4 Tasted at Whisky Watcher Shop Odense. My favorit rum pusher Hannes. He spoiled me with a few samples when picking up some rum. Nose of ester, polish, wood, pineapple and leather. Palate of leather, pineapple, ester and citrus. Medium finish dominated by ester, wood and pineapple
