Tasting at J. B. Labat. A very fruity nose, banana, brown sugar, vanilla and a clear pastry note. Alcohol is quite present on the palate, followed by fruit and brown sugar. The wood and bourbon barrel are quite discreet. The finish is rather short, with wood and brown sugar. The fruit has almost disappeared. A rum that should go very well with a cigar. A very nice alternative to sweet rums.

Kneipe LiQ Bar Düsseldorf März 2025. Als zweites dann den Cave Guildive aus Guatemala. In der Nase haben wir Banane und braunen Zucker. Am Gaumen dann tropische Früchte, vor allem wieder Banane und auch wieder braunen Zucker.

Caramel, chocolate, fruity gummy bears, confectionery, dried fruit vanilla. If you didn't know, you would never guess that it is the same product as the Zacapas. A little air at the beginning does it good so that the alcohol integrates better. Wood is more in the background. Fruit and chocolate with earthy notes are in the foreground. Overall, it is light and fresh for a Central American. A great profile that I didn't know like this.

Surprisingly round and drinkable, yet full of character Guatemala single cask. Intense notes of baked banana, cappuccino and roasted, slightly bitter hazelnuts. One of the only good Guatemala rums in cask strength that I have tried to date!

#4807 11.08.2024 Enjoying some samples at home. Nose Sweet, fruits, banana, spice, light, light chocolate, raisin. Palate Light, light oily, light wood, raisin, banana, light chocolate, faint coffee, faint nutts. Finish Medium long, round, light, light wood, light citrus, raisin, light nutts, faint chocolate. The empty glass has nice vanilla and light caramel.
