Precious Liquors Diamond 100 Aspects of the Moon #2 PM 2001
The surprise here is apple — fresh, almost baked apple leads on the nose, unusual for a 22-year Port Mourant. Underneath sits the expected PM signature: burnt sugar, licorice, dark molasses, roasted wood and a little rubber. Several tasters found the body thin and the alcohol more forward than they liked at 45.2%, but most who opened it came away happy.

Aggregated from 21 community reviews.
Apple-led Port Mourant, burnt sugar and licorice Divisive but mostly liked. Classic Guyanan burnt-sugar and licorice profile with an odd apple note, though a few call it thin, hot, and short on the finish.

Very clean and fresh Diamond. Great complexity!

Tasted at Ian Burrell’s Masterclass at UK RumFest. For me it leads with the burnt suger profile that is typical of Guyanan rums and perhaps a Port Mourant. I had spotted the Precious Drops stand and though this might be their White Cat (particularly also because there was a second Guyanan rum which I thought could be the Black Cat). Turns out I was wrong on the bottle but right on the still and bottler - I think that’s more luck than judgement but I’ll take it! This was actually my favourite of the five tried in the blind tasting, and it had some well-heeled competition.

Tasted at German rum festival Amazing rum. Very easy sipper and fantastic taste. Another very good bottling by Precious Liquors.

A strange weak Guyana with no conclusion at all.
