Grass, green pear and a whiff of glue — this unaged Islay pot-still drinks far more like a Clairin than anything you'd expect from British molasses. Fresh, floral, a little medicinal, with green fruit and pepper on the palate. At 55% the alcohol pokes through, so a few drops of water help. Several tasters are already itching to try an aged version.

I was already curious about this one, after the distributor's description of printer's ink and fudge...on the nose it reminds me of a Clairin, with spicy vegetables, but also something like graphite (maybe that's the printer's ink?), then sweetish again in the direction of mandarin, and I also have fudge. On the palate, fruit brandy (Williams pear) and a spicy, peppery finish. Great stuff!

Smells better than it tastes. Quite ok as a fruit brandy but not so good as a rum. I had expected more from it. In general, I'm often disappointed by unaged spirits, as the smell is usually very promising.

Nose is nice and intense. Bread, buttery notes and some berry notes. Some parallels to unaged savannas (much more suttle though) - buttery strawberries- yet characteristic and unique. Balanced on the palate with good alcohol integration. Green plants, berries, some sweetness and bitterness at the end. Well crafted and interesting. Looking forward to some aged expressions.

On the nose, the typical unaged aromas dominated by fresh yeast and vegetal notes. Some green fruit also appears. Smooth and sweetish on the palate at the very beginning, it quickly reveals its true self. The alcohol is not particularly well integrated, paired with cheeky spices and the herbal aromas, it challenges the tongue considerably. The finish is relatively long and somewhat chemical, which bothers me and makes it seem somewhat unbalanced.

Für mich hat diese Abfüllung genau die pflanzlichen Noten, die man von einem unaged erwartet, blind hätte ich wohl auf einen clarain getippt. Pur ist mir der Alkohol etwas zu schlecht eingebunden aber als Mixer durchaus zu empfehlen.

Ein gut gelungener Rum, der jetzt kein komplexes Aromenspiel abliefert, aber seine Sache gut macht. Das ist ein sauberer Brand, der ohne Fehlnoten und Störgeräuschen daher kommt. Bestimmt ein leckerer Mixer. Denke eher an Clairin als an Jamaica, obwohl hier Melasse zum Einsatz kam. Rund und gut. 86/100 oder 6/10

Surprisingly good unaged agricol. Grassy & fresh with hints of anise and green fruits. Sweet and floral on the palate with Well integrated alcohol and medium long finish, looking forward to the aged product.

Gefällt mir ganz gut. Hefe, fruchtig frische Nase. Leichte Gemüse Anklänge aber eher dezent. Etwas sprittig im Mund. Bin positiv überrascht. Clairin-light würde ich sagen.

An der Nase schön ausgewogen, erdige und fruchtige Aromen. Am Gaumen dann genauso, schöne Balance, Alkohol könnte noch etwas besser eingebunden sein. Dieser Rum ist recht zugänglich, hat aber gleichzeitig noch einen etwas erdigen Funk. Dieser ungereifte Rum ist für mich mit keinem anderen Blanc vergleichbar. Ein paar Tropfen Wasser tun ihm ganz gut. Der Abgang ist nicht besonders lang. Insgesamt ein schöner Rum mit einem etwas ungewöhnlichen, aber gut ausbalancierten Aromaprofil.

In der Nase wie ein jamaikanischer High-Ester, ich würde mich blind wohl auf Long Pond einschießen. Lack, vergorene Frücht, Lösungsmittel, das volle (ungereifte) Programm, mit einer leicht medizinischen Note. Am Gaumen dann leicht bitter-pflanzlich, die Ester etwas zurückhaltender. Insgesamt recht chemisch, auch wenn das nicht schlecht nicht. Freue mich, den in ein paar Jahren mal zu probieren!
