Here's the surprise: for an Enmore wooden-still Demerara, this one leans gentler than the ash-and-leather beast some expect. Tasters keep landing on cocoa, mocha, dried fruit and apricot, wrapped in oak with an oily texture and a long finish. At 12 years it reads a touch young — one reviewer wished for a few more years — but the balance is what people keep coming back to.

Very nice one. Intense dried fruits and raisins on the palate coated with rich chocolate notes. Just the right amount of oaky notes and some sweetness. This is really tasty! Comes with an oily texture and long rich finish.

... Enmore - drive destilerka, nyni uz jen funkcni destilacni zarizeni. Patrne jedine drevene destilacni zarizeni na svete, ktere se tesi velke oblibe. Rumy Enmore totiz maji prichut popelu, kuze, tezkeho dreva, coz nadchne zejmena milovniky nakourenych whisky. A pokud tradicnim Guyanskym zpusobem prida vyrobce do rumu trochu melasy, mate v lahvi unikatni velmi vyrazny a tezky rum. Jeden z mych oblibenych.

07.02.2020 Private tasting i was invited to. Notes. Medium dark colour. Nose: Fresh, wood, vanilla, licorice, caramel, fruit, plum. Palate: Oily, wood, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, dried fruit, lightly spicy, natural sweetness. Finish: Medium long, sweet, wood, dried fruit, caramel, spicy.

An Enmore as we like them. Fruity and greedy notes. The finish is long on cocoa in particular. It's a pity that this rum is now difficult to find.

Dark rum with a nice sweetness and spicy notes with dried fruit and mocha. Tasty, but not a 9 for me. Compared to the Nobilis EHP, it's clearly the loser... for me, it settles around a mid-8. I had blindly guessed more of a Diamond Coffey.

Had to compete with the Nobilis Guyana bottling. In my opinion, although it was not the same vintage and this one was younger, it still had the edge. Very fine piece, but unfortunately the Silver Seals are always a bit overpriced for me.

Very balanced, smooth, approachable. Rich wood and toffee notes, milk chocolate, vanilla, subtle milk and dried fruit aromas. Very easy to drink and accessible, very well integrated alcohol, the only downside is the aromatic complexity which doesn't quite match other top Demeraras. A very pleasing release.

Solid for the young age. Woodiest of the samples, but paired with the leather, dark chocolate and tobacco notes works out very well. Maybe a bit rough, would have loved to see it a few years older.
