Clément 1976
Sip this one neat and give it air — the nose is shy at first, then opens into oak, honey, spice and canned peach. What surprises most people is the smoke: several tasters compare it to an old peated whisky, with tobacco, leather and walnut on a long finish. Very soft for its age, though a couple wished for a touch more strength.
The community says- Elegant and complex
- Smoky whisky-like depth
- But: Slightly thin body

Aggregated from 49 community reviews.
Elegant old agricole, smoky and cognac-like Loved as an elegant, cognac-like vintage agricole full of smoke, wood and peach. Most gripe: a bit thin and light, and several wanted higher ABV to carry it.

Elegant Agricole with a fresh hint of tropical fruit and citrus aromas. Classic nut-nougat notes with dark chocolate provide a pleasant sweetness. Great balance, multi-layered, full-bodied. A very good release.

First impression on the nose: old oak barrel, tannic acid, then more fruity notes, but also exotic notes such as cinnamon bark and green peppers. Toasted barrel/peated notes on the palate, green vegetables, caramelized sugar. I had somehow expected more, but perhaps the bottle has been open too long...

A great vintage agricole! Lots of wood, light caramel notes, butter cookies, roasted aromas and some mango. Overall also quite bitter and tannic. Great age and the "low" alcohol content is just right. Overall a little too much wood for my taste but still very elegant, like an old cognac!

This one arrived this morning from France and I am already at number two of this nice rum. The nose is nice and typical Agricole with fruits and spices. A slight wood, floral, spice and sugarcane touch to it. The palate is complex and slightly dry with a lot of fruits. There is a sweet note with an earthy, floral and pepper touch to it. Smoky oak also joins in the consecutive sips. The finish is long and lightly sweet with fruits and caramel and in the back some wood. The cognac casks they were finished in is there from the nose to the finish.

A very old rum that has become much smoother over the years. Shy on the nose at first, we find the typical woody, spicy and vanilla notes, accompanied after aeration by sugar cane, a touch of honey, peach and freshness. Very smooth on the palate, there are more smoky, vegetal notes, with hints of dried fruit, oak and cognac. The finish is moderately long and quite subtle, with the same spicy, caramelized, fruity and smoky notes. An elaborate, aged and elegant old rum, which could have been even better with a higher alcohol content.

Smagning “In the garden”

A very warm, soft bouquet. Wood, honey, lots of spice and some fruit. Beautifully melted. It continues in a similar way in the mouth. Nice and peppery on the finish (a really good type of pepper!😅). What remains is a beautiful caramel-wood veil. Very good, very drinkable. Definitely different from today's agricoles.🧐

Beautiful work. Very elegant indeed... The nose is relatively timid and needs aeration... But on the palate it's very vegetal and fresh... A touch of vanilla, honey and yellow fruit... The finish is a little on the light side, but it's still a fine product... A few degrees more and you've got a monster!

Amazing juice. Very soft and elegant. Grassy, soft tropical fruits. French oak. spices, muscat, minerals. Remind really good cognac. Very elegant and fragrant.

Very pleasant, so much canned peach and apricot, with slight chocolate and floral notes. Shame it is too thin and abit too sweet to my taste. But will definitely be a pleasant dram for any people
