Blackadder Diamond Raw Cask Rum 2003
Smoke, earth and dry spice lead here, with leather and herbal tea underneath and just a flash of citrus and dried plum on top. This is unsweetened Guyana Diamond at cask strength, so it drinks lean and salty rather than syrupy. One taster picked up soap they didn't love, but most found the 63% "super integrated" with a long, warming finish. A dry, savoury Demerara that rewards patience.
The community says- Big spicy character
- Well-integrated alcohol
- But: Faint soap note

How does Blackadder Diamond Raw Cask Rum 2003 taste?
Aggregated from 18 community reviews.
Dry, smoky cask-strength Guyana sipper Most find it a strong, earthy Guyana profile — smoky, spicy, salty and dry, with a lovely citrus nose. A minor soap note bothered one taster; the high ABV needs air.

The nose is greedy and pastry! We have a beautiful burnt sugar pie with fruitiness galore (plum, raisin, candied fruit ...). The whole is perfectly balanced and harmonious. In mouth, we are less on fruits (except cherry) but more on spices with a more earthy and salty profile. And we find smoked notes! The finish is fine on spices and woody with a touch of saltiness. My faith it is fresh and light, but I preferred the 2008 10 Y to this 2003 14 Y. Even if it remains a nice reference.

07.05.2019 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Light in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint smoke, fruits, light mineral, light olive, light floral, spice. Palate Light, light wood, light roasted, oily, spice, light banana, faint gasoline, faint floral, faint honey. Finish Medium long, light wood, oily, spice, fruits, light floral, faint caramel.

Střibrný adventní kalendář RFC 2024. Jemné citrusy ve vůni, později zemitost a náznaky šťávy. Chuť je kouřová, zemitá plná kůže a koření. Citím i tóny mýdla, které v rumu nemám moc rád. Celkově zajímave, ale hnivu to nepotřebuju.

Wow, nice Guyana profile in the nose spicy fruity with light alcohol. In the mouth then spicy, salty with typical herbal and tea notes. I can taste a piece of the barrel ;) Alcohol super integrated nice spicy finish Delicious!

Very intense and inviting nose. Lemon tart comes directly to my mind. Wow, I could sniff this forever. Then explosive, spicy and slightly salty on the palate. Very nice balance of freshness and barrel influence!
