Rum Nation DDL Demerara Rum Solera No.14 2019
Here's the twist: it's a Solera-style Demerara from Rum Nation, so the dark, roasted Guyana character comes wrapped in a lot of sweetness. Expect coffee, cocoa, caramel and dark dried fruit, with vanilla and burnt-cask notes. Bottled at 40%, the wood and alcohol sit together nicely, but several tasters flag a very short finish and a bit of pepper on the back end.
The community says- Coffee and cocoa
- Easy daily sipper
- But: Very short finish

How does Rum Nation DDL Demerara Rum Solera No.14 2019 taste?
Aggregated from 38 community reviews.
Sweet, roasted Demerara with a short finish Most find it an easy, sweet, chocolate-and-coffee Demerara that drinks well daily. The recurring catch: a short, almost thin finish and a peppery edge some don't love.

Retasting and I stick to the points previously given. Today we had another tasting with a few surprises in store. Price to quality is very good.

A strange idea to apply the Solera method to a Demerara rum, followed by a sherry cask finish. The nose is very sweet and caramelized, with an influence of red fruits, sweet spices and tobacco. The palate is rather oily, the 40% reduction having impacted the rum's aromatic profile. Licorice, anise, cinnamon, chocolate, caramel and vanilla wood dominate, with a hint of tobacco and tea. The finish is very short, the profile darker and roasted like Demerara rums. Far from a benchmark rum, but affordable for the price.

Very solid daily Sipper Demerara! The wood ans alcohol is integrated very well. This I can recommend to each one who is starting the adventure into the world of rum, due it’s very large amount of various notes/tastes and readily accesibility

Al naso caffè, liquirizia, zucchero, cacao. Al palato caffè, cacao, melassa, qualche spezia, finale quasi inesistente un po' salino e arrostito

Some lemon, a little sugar, and some pepper. Vanilla in the finish, but pretty average. Some caramel. 24 days of Rum calendar mini.

I næsen er der kaffe, karamel en smule træ. I munden I munden er den sød, en smule mørke frugter, kakao og en smule fad i afslutningen.

Ročník 2019. Hodnotím 7,7 z 10, solidní rum, který nezklame.

příjemná sladká vůně, která pokračuje i v chuti. Ta je zprvu jemná, ale poté vystoupí kořenitost a zejména pepř, což mi příliš nesedí.
