A little thin, little flavor, lime, lots of neutral alcohol. I can't taste the Oloroso finish. The rum seems very young.

First off, you get a lot for your money in my mind. This is a great beginner rum as well because it's light and rounded. Nice and fruity with spices well balanced with the woody notes. I like the warm touch on the palate. The nose is wonderful in the empty glass after an hour or so.

A good introduction to Foursquare rum. The typical flavour notes like vanilla, wood and spices are there but the palate might be a bit too thin. The Oloroso sherry maturation is noticeable but not overwhelming. Good price-quality ratio, but I would recommend the 12yo over this one.

A beautiful nose, very pastry, very "Barbados" which suggests a sweet mouth, it's really nice! On the palate it is however disappointing, it cruelly lacks body. One guesses notes of leather, a light woody taste but the tasting pales by a bitterness that I dislike. Good point all the same for this rum which is not sweetened and whose value for money seems unbeatable. The finish is too short for my taste. In conclusion, it is a rum accessible to young palates who want to detach themselves from the Ron such as diplomatico and other zacapa (as an example)...

I have never tasted a better rum for the price. Perfectly balanced flavor profile does not overpower with any particular taste, but rather the harmony of all flavors present. Sherry surfaces in every sip

It’s not something I typically drink neat but trying it it works well and to be honest is not a million miles off the 12 year old Doorly’s. Nose is fairly non discript, mouth has woody bourbon notes with a bit more sharpness from the sherries notes. Medium finish with fruity and spicy finish. It’s a good everyday work horse and enjoyable mixed or passable as a sipping rum if a little bit bourbon forward and one dimensional. Great value for money

I just had Doorlys 12 YO prior to XO and I am not sure if I am weird or everyone else, that gives 12 a higher rate, is. I will be 100% honest with you. The maturation after sherry is awesome it gave XO everything that I missed with 12YO. The sweetness, the prominent chocolate/banana taste is highlighter with oak barrel/wood being suppressed to the background. With 12YO you had banana taste mixed with sour green apple all underlined by huge woody taste. This one is none of that, you get vanilla, 🍌, raisins, chocolate all underlined but not overpowered by wood/oak. For me this one is a winner and I do not care. The nose is very similar but the palate is a different story. Medium to long finish. 75/100 for me.

Definitely a bang for a buck. Lots of coconut in the flavour profile. Magnificent starting point rum. I’d definitely reccomend getting a bottle when you are starting out

Intense vanilla, mild and buttery. On the palate, the spice of the barrel predominates. Only a slight vanilla note.The influence of the sherry finish is minimally noticeable in the finish.A beautiful rum for purists, which makes the advantages of Barbados clear, especially on the nose.

Price/quality definitely worth its money. At first round and somewhat sweet with familiar Bajan notes, evolves to smoky-woody to the dry (influence of the sherry barrels?) with peppery notes and some burning from the alcohol. Bitter notes of tobacco remain.
