Nose: I was immediately struck by the smoky, hamy side. The tropical fruit is still there, but the ham and smokiness predominate for me. Palate: very doughy / fatty. Tropical fruit and smokiness very present. Still my impression of ham. Very UFO. Very destabilizing. A hint of spice / pepper. Between the smoky WTF and the greediness of the rest. Long finish. Turns to bitterness.

Ein brachialer TECA, welcher nach kurzer Atmungszeit in gewohnter Manier die Nase mit Ester, Kleber(UHU) und Lack füllt… Nach diesem Schwall gesellen sich diverse Frucht Aromen dazu, wobei man auch das Fass deutlich riechen kann. Sehr gut! Am Gaumen geht es im gleichen Takt weiter! Der Alkohol könnte defintiv besser integriert sein, denn die knappen 65% spürt man durch und durch! Der Abgang ist mittellang und schliesst mit einer Mischung aus Ester, Ananas, leichten Holznoten, Speck(😵💫) und caramelisierten Honigbonbons ab.

The rum's short maturation is certainly noticeable. The alcohol is not quite so well integrated. But I just really like the marrow. (Overripe) fruit, spices (cinnamon), ester power, light sweetness. Lots of cinnamon, especially in the medium-long finish. Has great potential with long maturation.

I really like it. While the nose is still classic and pleasant (with cocoa/chocolate), I find the palate very complex with sweetness, spice, smoke and bacon, esters and chocolate. It's really fun. It then loses something in the finish. A wonderfully fresh TECA

Salon Du Rhum 2024. Very nice nose. Great rum but disappears very fast. For this price I would recommend Velier LP STCE 2019.

A blatant TECA representative. Very special but I like it very much. Lots of fruit pineapple, mango papaya. Concentrated load of esters with a lot of glue. I also smell and taste something (not disturbing) smoky and meaty. It also has plenty of power ... Whether pure or in a cocktail, it's great stuff.

As you would expect from a TECA, solvents, adhesives and the like hit you right in the face. I perceive tropical and sour fruits, spices, but also musty/medical notes. For its "age", I find what the TECA delivers really amazing, but I would probably like it better with more time in the barrel.

Strange one, this one is full of savoury, meaty notes - less prominent on the nose than the palate. The nose promises ester and pineapple with solvents and glue. Perhaps some sourness. The mouth delivers prominent smoke and meat, like bacon or ham. Also wood, spice, ester and some bitterness. Promising and interesting but not something I would find myself reaching for.
