CoR Jamaica 2008
"You can distinguish the different distilleries," as one taster put it — a 4-way Jamaican blend (Long Pond, Monymusk, New Yarmouth, Worthy Park) at 58.9%. Expect glue, varnish, pineapple and gummy-bear fruit up front, with a sweet side. Not everyone's happy: some find the palate harsh, salty-sour, or too woody on the finish. A recognizable-DNA sipper more than a knockout.

The bottled vintages and distilleries raised some expectations. I have to say, I really like the bottling. It's impossible to tell exactly what's in it, but it tastes absolutely like Jamaica DNA and everything it needs to be. The slightly tangy ester note is reminiscent of NY. A good blend.

I thought Hampden distillate was overpowering the other ones before realizing there's no Hampden in there 😅 The nose is welcoming but the mouth is harsh and the flavours quickly vanished to let place to a very woody finish. Not my thing.

Guter Rum, aber eher auf der bitteren, adstringierenden Seite.

Excellent blend of the uniqueness of Jamaica, you can get influence from each of Long Pond, Monymusk, New Yarmouth and Worthy Park. A delicious combo os the best know how from Jamaica. Highly recommend.

Mhhh, what can you say... Nose definitely tart, citrus or tangerine. Taste very sweet, somewhat leathery. Somehow no trace of jamaica gunk. The finish is long but not good, too stagnant and peppery.

I like this blend a lot! If your into Jamaican rums, you can distinguish the different distilleries in nose and mouth. Nice sweetness but not to much. Good to enjoy as easy sipper and to have at home if you like to introduce somebody to Jamaican rums.

Tried at Whisky Live Paris and at Milano Whisky Festival, this is a 4 distilleries blend where I clearly recognise almost all the contributions (monymusk, long pond and worthy park) excepti new Yarmouth. Nose is glue and varnish driven with a sweet side that we find much more drinking, and it's clearly from worthy park. A nice sipping rum very satisfying to drink, just unfortunately not worth the price tag.

Extremely sweet syrupy on the nose, then strangely sweet sour and salty and watery on the palate, quite unbalanced in my opinion. Not my cup of tea, sorry. The acidity and saltiness bother me the most.

Amazing nose! Fruity, gumi bears. The taste is blend no extraordinary profile. Similar to Hampden, but..
