#4268 23.09.2022 One of the samples from the Whisky N Rum Show in Copenhagen. The nose is dominated by smoke and peat and that's all you get if you don't rest it. Once rested more flavours appear though very faint. The palate also dominated by smoke and spicy wood. The smoke level is close to a low ppm Octomore. ABV is pretty well integrated. Herbal and peppery notes appear in consecutive sips. The finish is medium long and smoky with a spicy touch. The rum takes the backseat here and the barrel takes over. Will also be a hit with whisky drinkers. Draws thick and nice curtains in the glass. The smoke fades a bit in the empty glass and light nuttyness comes up.
