Flor de Caña TERRA 2017
A dry column-still Nicaraguan for drinkers stepping past sweet rums and wanting more to chew on. The nose leans nicer than the palate — wood, spice, a bit of orange and roasted nuts — while the taste turns dry and woody with chocolate and mocha, and for some a tobacco-like bitterness on the finish. At 40% it can read thin to seasoned palates, so a few drops of water help it settle.

Aggregated from 19 community reviews.
Dry, woody sipper for the sweet-to-dry step A handful of reviews put it in the same place: a decent dry rum for the sweet-to-dry transition, though a woody bitterness on the finish isn't for everyone.
