Sun Juice Carnival Barbados Rum

Je découvre Carnival avec ce rhum très abordable à tous les niveaux : degré d'alcool, prix, complexité. C'est facile à boire. Pâtissier, légèrement fruité, un peu de coco, très rond. Trop réduit à mon goût.

#5473 12.07.2025 Late tasting with a set of friends and I'm always happy when we meet up. Nose Fresh, light wood, fruity, light roasted, pineapple, spice, light smoke, faint coffee, light citrus. Palate Fresh, oily, round, light wood, sweet, fruity, light berries, spice, light coffee, faint smoke. Finish Medium long, fresh, oily, sweet, light nutts, light cherry, light banana. Empty glass Vanilla, chocolate, light nutts, strawberry.

Retour sur le Rhum Tour 2025 – Première escale : Carnival Sun Juice Une marque que je n’avais encore jamais eu l’occasion de goûter ! Lancée en 2023, Carnival Sun Juice est née de la collaboration entre JoeyStarr et Anthony Martins (Old Brothers), ce dernier ayant depuis quitté l’aventure. L’objectif : proposer des rhums accessibles et festifs, à l’image de l’univers qu’ils souhaitent célébrer. 🏝️ Barbados Rum (40,2 %) Issu de rhums de mélasse distillés en alambic et en colonne chez WIRD, vieillis entre 3 et 5 ans en fûts de bourbon sous climat tropical. Profil très rond : noix de coco, vanille, touches gourmandes d’agrumes... mais clairement trop sucré à mon goût. Dommage, le sucre masque tout !

Très (TROP) doux, facile à boire, fruité et patissier. En bouche on sent la réduction avec un côté aqueux, c'est dommage. Sinon cela reste un rhum agréable à boire à l'apéritif. Prix élevé pour le niveau. En dessous du jamaicain et du blend belize/Guatemala

Nez bien équilibré sur la gourmandise, alcool présent mais discret, fruits frais. En bouche, c’est du bonbon ! On tombe dans le paquet de bonbons sucrés, limite arôme artificiel, c’est beaucoup trop ! Cela reste plaisant mais c’est une sucrerie pas du rhum 🍹. Finale courte sur le sucre
