Cane Rum Bottling Company Enmore Single Cask Rum 1988
One taster called it "a really nice old Dark wooden still Enmore" — and that's the shape of it: leather, oily texture, licorice and roasted wood, with dried plum and raisin underneath. The 34 years and wooden Coffey still show in the dry, tobacco-and-ash character. A few find it a touch too herb-forward, but most call the balance and alcohol integration excellent.
The community says- Oily leather-licorice depth
- Alcohol well integrated
- Long balanced finish

How does Cane Rum Bottling Company Enmore Single Cask Rum 1988 taste?
Aggregated from 29 community reviews.
Oily, woody old Enmore with leather and licorice A well-liked old Demerara: oily, woody, leathery with licorice and dried fruit. Alcohol beautifully integrated. A couple of tasters find it a little too dry and herbal.

Overall a fantastic and well balanced rum. Tasted this at a special tasting at Rum Cane Society (CRS) in Stockholm, which is the rum bar in Europe with most different rum bottlings. The Cane Bottling Co. is a Swedish IB founded and owned by Lars Renbjer and Niklas Blomquist, the latter co-owner of CRS. The rum is a 34yo wooden column distilled rum from the Original Enmore distillery. It’s Continental aged in old rum casks formerly used for bourbon.

Tak tohle mohu. Krásný dřevitý tón suchý švestek, rozinek a tmavé hořké čokolády. Ke konci přichází jemná hořkost. Alkohol parádně integrovaný. Parádní plnění z Diamond Destillery, jen více a více takových 🤩

A really nice old Dark wooden still Enmore. Lots of leather, Oily, licorice and some caramel. Tobacco as well maybe? There is obviously the wood influence as well without being overbearing. A reasonable length finish and a decent complexity. What you should expect from a 34 yo Demerara.

04.03.2023 Had a nice day with friends and old colleagues. I had the opportunity to taste a few very good whiskies at the event. A very nice and medium fruity rum. The roasted wood notes are really nice and go well with the herbal notes. Overall good balance. The palate is oily and spicy with a faint medicinal touch. The finish is long and nice.

Tasted at Sweden Rum Fest in Stockholm. Nice bottling from Cane Bottling Co. Oily feel. Wood, leather and tobacco.

příjemná olejovitá ovocná chuť, závěr tak akorát dlouhý

Guter Vertreter der 1988er Enmores, präsente Würze, Holz, Mineralik, Lakritz. Tolle Alkoholintegration. Für mich persönlich etwas zu herb ausgelegt, mir fehlt der klare Gegenpol zur Mineralik der Bleistiftespähne. Trotzdem unbestritten auf hohem Niveau unterwegs.
