Then there were three Clairins. This one also has the typical Clairin markers. It is very floral and flowery. Olive and citrus fruits can be tasted. It is also very fresh and floral.

Durchaus interessant, aber mir überwiegen die rauchigen Noten zu stark, es fehlt die Fruchtigkeit als Gegengewicht. Auch das Mundgefühl ist nicht so schön cremig wie bei anderen Clairins. Guter Rum, aber ich bevorzuge andere Destillerien.

#4517 09.12.2023 This is also a nice and fresh release. Medium fruity with nice floral notes. I love the might smoke in the profile. The finish is medium long and warming. The empty glass has a light perfume note.

A good, unaged clairin, offering an interesting combination on the nose between vegetal and herbaceous notes (earth, aromatic herbs, especially basil, vegetables) and more meaty, smoky aromas reminiscent of Bolognese sauce with its meat and a touch of spice (paprika). There's a slightly medicinal, fermented framework that forms a rather coherent and original whole. The attack on the palate is fat, thick and unctuous, but more vegetal and grassy, less extravagant but just as intense, with the same sensation of spicy Bolognese sauce, fermented sugarcane and medicinal notes grafted onto a very green, earthy profile. The citrus fruits manage to find their way onto the palate to give roundness. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish is relatively short. Although it loses longevity, the intensity remains intact, with herbaceousness, sugarcane, citrus and spicy touches. A very pleasant clairin with a zany but attractive profile.

Sind schon verrückte Destillate diese Clairins. Dieser erinnert in der Nase an Mezcal und geht im Mund zu einem Mezcal-Obstler-Cuvee über was erstaunlicherweise gar nicht schlecht ist, da der Alkohol bei diesem super eingebunden ist.

Super Rum mit das Beste was ich bisher verkostet habe. Jeder Schluck birgt eine neue Überraschung mal 🍋🟩 und dann rauchig zum Abschluss eine gewisse Süße. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Mein erster Cuba-Libre ohne 🍋🟩 einfach nur fruchtig und gut.

In diesem Tasting diesen Rum mit dem RX16826 gleichzeitig verkostet. Um es direkt vorweg zu nehmen. Dieser Clairin gefällt mir deutlich beseer und ist richtig gut. Die Nase expressiv. Pflanzliche Noten, grün-grasig, Zuckerrohr, Agricole-Funky. Macht Spass. Am Gaumen auch hier deutlich pflanzliche Aromen, kräutrige Anklänge, leicht säuerliche Frische, würzig, Olive und wenig süss. Der mittlere Abgang bleibt auf den Gaumenaromen. Wilde Mischung, die mir je länger desto mehr Spass macht.

The usual framework of clairins with the combo of ripe fruit with smoky (+++ on this one) and buttery notes, but with a slightly "dirtier" nose, like a musty smell. Once opened, there's more spice and I realize that this musty smell is in fact a sapodilla smell that I can't get rid of. There's also ripe papaya. On the palate, the smokiness is very (too?) present and there's even a touch of rubber.

Tasting 23.01.2026 Nose Very unique smell. The nose give notes of ripe fruit, but also some citrus and a nice addition of smoke. Palate Citrus and some are the first things I raste. There is also some olive and a earthy, vegetal present. I have to admit I find it challenging to describe these clairins as they have quite the unusual flavour profile, but they are really amazing.

Absolutely exceptional, delivers a flavour bomb! You can taste the respect for the base ingredient and the love and craft that have gone into its production. A wonderful exception to all the over-adulterated, samey rums out there. I'm blown away by it.

The smoky nose is undeniable; BBQ sauce is not far off! Completely different palate, with fruit brandy, plum or pear, but not William. Very good!

As someone on Reddit said, rotting birthday cake frosting and smoked meats. Very unique nose and surprisingly sweet palate. Wild yet elegant. Wonderful.
