8,4:On the nose, the first impression we get are fermented, overripe tropical fruits as pineapple, banana with honey, lot of esters, there are citrus fruits and lemon peel, all with roasted/medicinal touch. When aired a bit, dried fruits arise, burnt sugar, some vanilla and, leather, as the wood is young. Nice rest brings out more citrus as grape fruit, orange, some tropical fruits are rotten now, there is a touch of sugar cane and some liquorice, chocolate. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is spicy, estery and fruity with sweet overripe, fermented tropical fruits, as banana, pineapple with honey, a bit funky. There is some metallic note, as we come to sugar cane with vanilla, licorice. The rum becomes dry and salty. We cannot overlook citrus and some tasty apple pie and young wood. Balanced and round...On long oxidation, ripe cherries arise, whatta surprise, a hint of menthol and some nougat. 8,6:The finish is tasty with honeyed tropical fruits, spicy, dry and salty with wood and pastries. Edit: 18.1.25, I like it, 0,2 higer.Alcohol nicely integrated. Edit:24.8.25, 😍, a pretty underestimated rum, a great complexity.

das ist wieder so einer der Kandidaten, bei denen ich mich schwer tue: klar, für 50 EUR gibt es hier einen interessanten Rum, P/L mäßig gibts nix zu meckern, aber an sich betrachtet wirkt er für mich doch etwas ruppig und unausgewogen. Der hohe ABV sticht zudem schon ordentlich. Auch am Gaumen für mich keine Offenbarung. So kann ich es beim Sample belassen…auf jeden Fall besten Dank nach Nürnberg für den Split!

Das ist der erste Jubiläums-Rum von TRC und er ist klasse. Das Finish in einem DOK-Fass hat ganze Arbeit geleistet.. In der Nase überwiegen die klassischen Hampden-Esteraromen und am Gaumen entsteht eine Mischung aus WP und Hampden mit einem leichtem Übergewicht des WP…Gewürz und Holz dominieren und leichte Fruchtaromen umspielen das Ganze, eine gewisse Funkiness rundet den Gaumen ab, sehr lecker. Der Abgang ist mittellang, zunächst holzig würzig und später in süssliches Trockenobst wechselnd. Betrachtet man bei diesem Rum den veranschlagten Preis ist das eine absolute Empfehlung… so können die Jubiläumsabfüllungen gerne weitergehen

Ein tropischer und unglaublich süßlicher Vanille und Karamell Geruch empfangen einen. Zieht sich auch in Geschmack durch, ergänzt um Bananenmilch mit viel Honig. Mittlerer leicht Kaffee und nussartiger Abgang. Überragendes PLV.

M.M. nach wieder eine absolute Geniale Abfüllung von TheRumCask. Finde die Kombination von WP in dem DOK Cask mehr als gelungen. Für den Preis ein super Rum! Die Geschmacksrichtungen von WP und dem Fass ergänzen sich ganz gut. Da ich aber nur heute vormittag kurz genascht habe, werde ich ihn in einer ruhigen Minute nochmal in Ruhe analysieren. Mir schmeckt er super und ich habe nochmal nachbestellt. Wir in nächster Zeit wohl mein Lieblings Daily Sipper. Alkohol super eingebunden.

#5200 05.04.2025 Running through some samples at home. Nose Medium intense, light ester, fruity, light wood, faint smoke, banana, light honey, faint floral. Palate Balanced, round, medium intense, fruity, light ester, banana, light citrus, light honey, light wood, faint roasted. Finish Medium to long, fresh, balanced, light dry, fruits, light pineapple, light citrus. Empty glass Fruits, light honey, vanilla, light chocolate, light leather.

Spannende Mischung aus Hampden und Worthy Park durch das Finish im DOK Fass. Es bleibt natürlich ein junger Rum. Die Funkiness mit den typischen Bananen (WP) und Ananas-Noten (HD) überzeugt. Dazu ein sehr gutes PLV. Empfehlung!

Sehr leckere TRC Jubiläumsabfüllung. In der Nase ist der Esteranteil klar erkennbar, ob DOK oder nicht sei dahingestellt. Im Mund sehr süss und einen schöne WP wiedererkennungswert mit Honig, vergorenen Früchten und holzigen Noten. Das DOK finish ist im Mund weniger erkennbar als in der Nase.

Ich denke mal für den Preis kann keiner Meckern und hier gibt‘s viel Rum fürs Geld. PLv top. Am Gaumen fand ich ihn gefälliger als an der Nase – runder mit mehr Reife. Insgesamt ein guter Deal, ich würde mir (zum pur Trinken) aber keine Flasche holen sondern lieber noch etwas drauf legen.

Tolle intensive, aber ausgewogene Nase. Am Gaumen dominiert klar das DOK Finish. Lecker intensiv, würde aber nicht häufiger dazu greifen. Könnte ihn mir aber auch sehr gut als Mixer vorstellen. Etwa im Daiquiri oder als ein Teil im Mai Tai.

Man merkt das DOK-Fass deutlich. Bringt eine schöne Fruchtigkeit mit. WP eher im Hintegrund, aber geht auch nicht komplett verloren. Der Alkohol ist aber nicht so toll eingebunden. Vor allem im Abgang leicht sprittig. Preis-Leistung ist trotzdem top !

Die einzige Jubiläumsausgabe die ich mir gegönnt habe. Ich war etwas skeptisch was die 5Jahre angeht, aber ich bin positiv überrascht. Das DOK Fass hat gute Arbeit geleistet und drückt dem WP seinen Stempel auf. Er ist recht leicht in der Nase doch der Funk kommt rüber, Zitrusfrüchte,Ananas,Lack und leicht Honig. Für die kurze Reifezeit ist der Alkohol doch recht gut eingebunden. Holz und Würze am Gaumen, umspielt von leichter Süße, Lack und Fruchtigkeit. Gefällt mir gut, gelungenes Zusammenspiel.

The nose is a bit strange, like Marihuana finished in a Single Grain Whisly cask, followed by tomato stem. I am a little bit disappointed, it is not a proper worthy park nor a Hampden DOK and feels young and unbalanced to me. I will give it another chance in a few weeks but today this would only end up in daiquiris. //Update As a Daiquiri this is just perfect and I am going to leave it here.

Farbe: Weißwein Geruch: Süß, cremig und fruchtig mit Estern. Dabei überraschend wenig alkoholisch. Riecht nach Birne und tropischen Früchten. Etwas Vanille im Hintergrund. Geschmack: Süß (Honig), fruchtig und alkoholisch im Mund. Bei Schlucken kräftig und intensiv, sehr würzig und alkoholisch mit Estern. Schmeckt sehr fruchtig nach Mirabelle und Mango. Abgang: Lang und würzig-alkoholisch, leicht holzig. Auch im Abgang noch süß und fruchtig. Wärmt von tief innen. Wirklich sehr leckerer Rum mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Steckt viele ältere und teurere Jamaica-Rums in die Tasche.

Schön fruchtig und mit den 62,2 Umdrehungen schon ein ordentlicher Antritt. Insgesamt für 50€ eine angemessene Abfüllung für das Jubiläum. Entgegen meiner Prinzipien hab ich etwas mit Wasser nachgeholfen, denn meine Zunge wurde ein wenig pelzig beim puren Genuss. Es schadet nicht, die Aromen bleiben und bleiben auch schmeckbar ;-).

Mmm... Nase gefällt mir nicht so. Komisch alkoholisch. Kann Tagesform sein. Am Gaumen dann wesentlich besser. Abgang das Highlight. Schön würzig und warm. Aber insgesamt schnell vergessen.
