Perola Foursquare Bellamy‘s Reserve Barbados Madeira Cask Finish (Slovakia Acan Premium Spirits) 2010
What catches people off guard is how dry this stays despite all the sherry and dried-fruit talk. It's a 12-year Foursquare with a short Madeira finish: figs, raisin and plum on the nose, then a dry, salty, peppery palate with wine notes and a bit of milk chocolate. Several tasters found the finish short and a touch hot. Interesting, not showstopping.

My first Bellamy..in short not bad but frankly not awesome…just good.. The color- honey - yellow to light brown. The nose - dried fruits, oak and wood. The taste- dry and salty, then peppery tones, and wine tones. I also noticed the alcoholic tone, but later it disappeared. At first it reminded me some cheap rum like pyrat or pampero..finish is short, not complicated.. To sum it up - interesting, but there are better rums outside, cheers and next one, please!

I wanted to add a photo of this rum in a glass, but my friends came and the bottle fell extremely fast :) Very nice bottle + limited Slovak edition = I had to try it. Aroma - fruit, wood, caramel, wine Taste - cinnamon, wood, dried fruit, sour Finish - medium length, fruit, bitter My first Bellamy's, which did not disappoint me and I immediately ordered a tasting set to discover other rums from this brand.

Salty, fruity and spicy. Some dried figs and apricot and nut butter. Not necessarily my favorite foursquare and could have a little more alcohol for my taste, but the Madeira finish of 3 months fits really well here and at 75€ a bottle in Slovakia you can't complain either.

My first Bellamy’s and first sample from advent calendar. Aroma is sweet (caramel) and little alcoholic. I noticed wine/dry scent with sherry and cocoa hint. There was also some wood, raisin and dried fruit (plums in my opinion) with burn scent. Taste is pretty dry, I noticed wine/sherry with lot of dried fruit (plums). I noticed some oak and salt (interesting) with combination of milk chocolate. Finish is not long enough, I noticed some coconut, druid fruit, oak amd bitter. Really nice and interesting sample, I like that they used Forsquare rum for this one, but to be honest I would like to see better price for the whole bottle.

... Foursquare je destilerka z Barbadosu produkujici uzasne rumy ke kazdodennimu popijeni. Je to rum, ktery oceni zejmena rumari, kteri maji plne zuby cukru a hledaji jemny, nasladly rum plny kokosu, vanilky, cokolady a karamelu. Proste prijemne a nijak agresivni chute.
