Spannende TDL Abfüllung mit deutlich anderer Ausrichtung. In der Nase viel Holz, Röstaromen und eine trockene Würze. Frucht und Minze eher im Hintergrund. Am Gaumen ebenfalls vom Fass geprägt mit Eiche, Röstaromen und einer herben Struktur. Zudem eine etwas zu alkoholische Note am Gaumen und auch Abgang. Wirkt damit völlig anders als die neueren Jahrgänge aus den 2001–2009 Releases, die sonst oft von Minze und Frucht leben. Diese Abfüllung geht für mich geschmacklich in eine ältere Richtung, fast wie pre 2000, deutlich holzlastiger und weniger komplex im typischen TDL Sinne.
