Best in a cocktail, honestly — several tasters found it too hot and angular to sip neat at 60%. The nose pulls you in with tropical fruit, nail polish and smoke; one member reads it "wie ein Agricole," all grassy and vegetal. Then the palate turns spiky: olive brine, overripe fruit, a bump of alcohol. Loud, unpolished Batavia arrack with all its corners showing.

Volle Breitseite Batavia arrack! Rote & grüne, aprika, Olivenlake, Safran, Speck, sehr viel schwarzer rauchiger Kardamom aus Nepal, überreife tropische Früchte, etwas Nagellack und Politur Ester, Geiler scheiß. Macht absolut geile atomic daiquiris! Für 33€ noch dazu ein echtes Schnäppchen...

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur. Alcool neutre au premier nez, puis tout de suite des fruits frais, du beurre et de la douceur. De l’alcool neutre en bouche, de la douceur, assez peu d’arômes mais des fruits jaunes. La finale est plutôt courte, peu d’arômes restent après l’alcool, de la poire, un léger fumé.

Wieder einmal ein überragendes Tasting das Artur super organisiert hat. Vielen Dank in die Einführung in die Welt des Arra(c)ks. Die Verschnitte sind schon eine wahre Herausforderung an die Geschmacksnerven. Wirklich überrascht hat mich aber diese BASF Abfüllung. Meinen tiefsten Respekt für die Zeit und Mühe die dort immer wieder reingesteckt wird. Eine wirkliche Ehre immer wieder bei solchen Tastings dabei sein zu dürfen.

Arrac(k)-Tasting 2.0 von Artur. Eine spannende Tasting-Reise mit einer beeindruckenden Bandbreite an Stilen und Profilen. Von rauchig über fruchtig bis würzig war alles vertreten – teils etwas unausgewogen, teils überraschend rund. Besonders einige Abfüllungen zeigten viel Charakter und Tiefe und blieben im Gedächtnis. Ein Format, das richtig Spaß macht. Danke Artur für die Gelegenheit! 😊

Vielversprechende Nase, dann wird es aber sehr eckig und unrund. Alkohol dominiert. Arra(c)k Attack 2.0 Tasting mit Artur einmal quer durch, von richtig fiesem Verschnitt bis zu erstaunlich guten Vertretern alles dabei. Tolle Reise zu dieser mir bis dato komplett unbekannten Spirituose.

A really nice offering of nusa Cana which was not meant for the open market. Really intense nose that looses a bit in the palate. Quite strong and stormy less intense than the ed dekker and in the drink less favourable
