For curious explorers into higher-ABV Trinidad rums, this 19-year T.D.L from CDI is a dry, menthol-driven sipper. Expect mint, menthol, light peachy fruit and oak spice. Community sees it as a solid, more restrained 2003 TDL that works best neat with time in the glass.

  • Mint/menthol profile

Really minty on the finish. Almost like chewing on a dried mint. After aerination, the nose develops more towrds really nice "darker" notes - baking spices, wood, dried fruits.

Intense mint and menthol notes lingering on the nose. Notes from the cask - vanilla and wood - also present creating a balanced profile. Balance is also what you find in the palate. Despite its age, this release shows a lighter profile versus other 2003 bottlings. Akin to the Single Cask Nation Angostura release. All classic notes are there yet in a less heavy overall composition. Refreshing.

Once again a very good, typical 2003 TDL that has that exciting minty note!

Nice TDL that can't really stand out... Typical notes of mint, chocolate and caramel. Delicious but not very recognizable. Still grateful to be able to try it.
