Summasummarum ein leckerer Guyana Rum. Auch hier wieder standardmäßig leider ein wenig zu arg runter verdünnt. Was ich aber gar nicht so schlimm finde, weil er trotzdem geschmacklich doch sehr lecker ist.

#6754 06.05.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after picking up my wife from work. Watching the latest episode of Gold Rush on Max. A pretty decent rum in my mind. A relatively light rum with nice fruit, light roasted wood, olive and fain salti.

Des arômes un peu faibles, des esters, des fruits tropicaux et des fruits compotés. Du boisé, un côté végétal, de la fraîcheur, des herbes sèches et du goudron. L’entrée de bouche est douce, boisée, sur les fruits jaunes, la pomme et les pruneaux. La finale est moyenne, le bois et les pruneaux y prennent de l’importance, des fruits restent jusqu’à la fin. Un rhum sur la fraîcheur et les fruits. Trop léger pour être vraiment intéressant, même s’il reste très buvable.

Cadenhead's Green Label Guyana 15yr Sowohl in der Nase als auch auf dem Gaumen zeigen sich typische (alte) Guyana Note von Holz, Würzen und Bleistift. Der Alkohol ist ordentlich eingebunden, der Abgang ist kurz und unbedeutend. Grundsätzlich aber ein solider Rum!

Interessantes Profil, das am ehesten in Richtung Enmore/Versailles ausschlägt. Insgesamt etwas irritierend abgemildert, trotz der mineralischen Noten mit erstaunlich präsenter Süsse. Insgesamt sehr ausgewogen, was etwas zulasten der Komplexität geht. Solides Release.

Erstmal eine sehr zurückhaltende Nase. Im Geschmack dann eine tolle geschmeidige Mischung aus Frucht und Karsmell mit Vanille und ordentlich jungem Holz. Eine sehr schöne Mischung die in meinen Augen besser ist als beim Demerara 15 Jahren.

In der Nase ein Geruch nach Zuckerrohr, Papyrus, Vanille, Toffee, Aprikose und etwas Eiche. Der Farbton ist ein helles strohgelb, ähnlich einem Havanna Club 3 Jahre. Auf der Zunge macht der Rum eher den Eindruck eines eher leichten bis mittelschweren Rums. Nach langer Zeit ist zumindestens ein Geschmack nach Mandatine herauszuschmecken, ansonsten ist der Rum im Mund eher etwas zurückhaltend. Der Abgang ist dann geprägt von etwas Eiche und einer gewissen Schärfe.
