ELIZABETH YARD – TDL 2011 – 50,05 % TDL… trois lettres qui commencent à devenir dangereusement familières par ici. 😈 Mais celui-ci sort un peu des sentiers battus ! Direction Trinidad Distillers Limited, maison mère d’Angostura. Distillé en 2011, il passe 10 ans sous les tropiques avant de recevoir une finition de 45 jours en American Oak Char Octave. 👉 Une octave, c’est un tout petit fût : beaucoup de contact avec le bois en très peu de temps… et forcément, ça laisse des traces ! Dans le verre : caramel, vanille, fruits gourmands, une petite touche mentholée histoire de rappeler qu’on est bien chez TDL… puis le bois, les épices et les tanins prennent progressivement le relais. On est loin de certains vieux TDL complètement barrés sur la menthe, le camphre et les fruits exotiques. Ici, le fût a clairement décidé de participer à la conversation ! Seulement 98 bouteilles produites, Autant dire qu’on n’en croisera pas tous les jours… et désormais encore une de moins ! ⚰️😂

Hier haben wir mal einen recht ungewöhnlichen TDL. Viel Frucht in der Nase, rote Früchte, Zitrusfrüchte, Orange, aber auch Schokolade und leichte Würze. Gebrannter Zucker im Mund,sehr trocken und holzig,bitter, aber auch eine leichte frische Note. Der Abgang ist geprägt von verbrannten Fassnoten, Leder und etwas Minze. Im Angebot für rund 50€ geholt, dafür isser OK, aber nicht den 'Normalpreis'.
